I don't care, they can rolback us. I have already earned enough boost gold on retail for TWW.
since there were too many people frog farming they cant take that away or ban those people. the only solution is to make everyone who didnt do this bring closer to their power level.
I didnt do it because i learned of it to late.My question is ,is blizzard going to ban wowhead ? You know the people who posted if you are 70 to go farm frogs.Wowhead is just as much responsible for these farmers as any one as they made a article telling new 70s to go farm frogs.1 2 3 wowhead bans me and deletes this post. Just my opinion but a site tells people what to do when hitting 70 and then they get banned that website should pay too.
So, I farmed frogs for 20 minutes max, and now the epic threads are only giving me +12 to stats, rather than the 24 they did previously. I need to do more testing, but I hope that isn’t the case because that would seriously gimp this character considering I am not even close to the gigachad farmers.
Literally just need to buff the rate of acquisition for bronze.... there is literally not enough time for the average players to nearly enough bronze to get most of what they want by the end. In order to get *everything* at 90s left, it required u to be making 18k bronze a day... thats raiding every day....
Didn't even know this was an exploit. Joined a farm group did enough to get locked out, then left.... hope thst doesn't qualify for a ban...
Banning or rolling back frog farmers would be ridiculous. People spent their time doing this and it wasn't necessarily a huge secret or a big cheese. I'm sure it wasn't very fun but people are having fun now they feel like they get to live the game mode that was hyped... I agree it definitely needed to be stopped but really you needed goats too? Might as well nerf all drops. Or if you kill 100 of a certain necessarily within an hour then they don't drop threads anymore... what are we really doing here? The people that are mad at the frog farmers are probably people that just raid log in a group and don't do m+ to help their group progress smoother/faster.
Team Frog should never ever be banned or suspended, that would just be silly. It was not an exploit, it was a FARM that Blizzard missed and didn't touch for 3 days. So basically everyone who played a lot those days have been in contact with a frog at some point. Impossible to not notice the 100 groups up for it in the finder 24/7 and go check it out. Humans are curious after all.At this point removing their power is irrelevant, they already cleared all Heroic raids and some even Mythic So0, if you nurf them they just stop playing but still have the achievements done. Unless FoS achievements would also be removed (yet again, i would find that a silly sanction)Everyone else should just have a way to get close to the same power. That can be done by reducing the bronze cost of item upgrades or massively increase the bronze aquisition. Ontop of the current higher amount of Thread drops, it will still mean most will lack the insane Cloak stats, but at least wont be a month or more progress behind Team Frog, but maybe a week.If I have ever learned anything from gaming, it is that people respond much better when you buff them than when you nerf others.
I think there's actually a giant problem here. We have two big feels that I think have created this clusterfleep: 1) The powerlevel many people (me included) expected to have at baselevel level 70 is MUCH much more than it currently is in Remix. 2) The real issue isn't the giant power gap between frog and nonfrog players right now, it's groups only accepting/requesting frog players and excluding nonfrog players. This has created a situation where:- Those underwhelmed with level 70 power scaling took it in their own hands to farm their way to a power that, let's be honest, was more in line with how blizz advertized remix. - Those nonfroggers likely playing the game at the rate blizz expected are now being griefed for not being froggers. Solution incoming with this tracking? The ideal fix would be to give nonfroggers something that brings them in line with froggers. Whether that be a temporary decrease or scaling that gradually increases bronze prices the closer they get to being inline with 'frogger' powerlevel. The important take away: We wanted to feel OP in this. The way things are: the 'feeling' of power in remix is a pretty big let down. THAT's the biggest problem here.
First and second options are stupid and should not happen. They haven't rolled back any non-exploit activity in a very long time, and this was not an exploit; it was playing the game the same way we did all those years ago. It's already punishment enough that they took away a valid way to play Mists of Pandaria.Third and fourth options can be rolled into one, but that would be a stupid achievement, even if the kills were retroactive. I would only change my mind if the reward for said achievement was a frog mount that can dragonride, pooping out fireflies as it soars.Option five is the most likely thing... or it would have been if Blizzard didn't intentionally hamper player enjoyment with this event. Don't advertise unlimited (until literal coding issues) power if you're going to limit power gains.
I hope this isn't across the entire account, I'll admit that I frog farmed for 2-3 hours. But I've since made an alt and I'm WAYYY further in cape stats with the new spool of threads than I was with frog farm & rep quest hand-in.At this point you just need to farm LFR, H Dungeons, Scenarios, their dailies and the World Bosses (5 hours ish of playing) and you'd realistically be stronger than someone who spent a few hours farming frogs.Yes I've directly benefited from the frog exploit (bronze gains), but it's only affected me. I didn't farm to beat the lvl 25 twinks running Mogu Vaults, I farmed to buy 5 of the new mounts in a reasonable amount of time.
I bet it's just for data quality purposes, letting them filter out frog farmers to see how regular players behave in the game.
