55? Well then! Might as well wait out levels for my alts so I can be lazy and get concordance with next to no effort. :P
I feel like the randomness of those perks is going to be a source of constant complaint until they bind them to specific relics, much like the previous attempt at multi-perk relics.
*Checks*Jeez, AK 55 makes an Emissary quest token worth like 2.5 billion AP.The Gul'dan-Suramar questline token will be close to 19 billion.I wanna see what a fresh Artifact empowered with a single one of those tokens would get in terms of number of traits, stupid Empowerment quests blocking it halfway...
HERE'S "NEW CONTENT" !MOAR NUMBERS MOAR NUMBERS MOAR NUMBERS(yup, caps lock was working as intended).
this whole system with random perks is so %^&* cause then oh i got bis relic but #$%^ me i rolled the #$%^tiest extra perks on it

We don't need to be a professional chef to see if the soup is too salty or the meat is burned.
So how do you preview a relic when you don't have it in your bags? Say, a master looted drop? Or something someone may want to trade? Can you even preview it without going to the Crucible, even if it is in your bags?Edit: Plus, do we have to go to the Crucible to take points in a new relic? Or do the relic points we chose in that slot always become the ones chosen for a new relic? What if the holy/shadow traits we chose initially are poor on a new relic?...This system is confusing and seems really bad so far.
A preview slot? Well that got boring really fast.
That's not actually an appeal to authority there, particularly because it's clear that you are not an authority on the topic nor did the person appeal to any specific authority as the comparison point. Rather, the person, in a snarky way, asked you to propose and define a solution to what you see as the problem. Instead, your reply was an asinine "here is simple bandage, all fixed, it was easy," which is not a solution at all. I would rather have a solution that was discussed, considered, and weighed at length by someone seen as "incompetent" than a solution that was slapped on a by an arm-chair designer that didn't bother to think more than a few seconds or to consider the impact of the decision. You completely ignore the complications, ramifications, down-sides, and long-term impacts to your proposed "solution". While you may prefer to see certain things as "set vs. RNG" that does not necessarily make it better in the context of all the other systems in place.Personally I would prefer to see less RNG on a major weapon system but that doesn't mean removing the RNG entirely is the best approach. There is excitement in rolling great bonuses, there is disappointment in rolling weak bonuses, and without some sort of reaction the game loses as a whole. If you want a game where you can get everything "the best" then this isn't the game to play.
Sweet, now when I use the boost that comes with the next expansion to boost a DK, I'll be able to get all three Power Ascended pets without killing myself.
