What a worthwhile addition to the game. I'm sure this won't throttle design space in the future.
Aug buffs need to only be 1 per player not stacking, this class is such a problem that at this point needs to be deleted after the expansion and have a lame story on how they lost their powers.
Obviously talentless people are developing the game, so there are only ideas and no details. Many of the problems that occur when this is applied are not in their brains. So it takes a lot of trial and error to get rid of the problem, and it's not going to be solved in a few months. And most people stop playing games before the problem is solved, and new, non-detailed ideas are applied. This is one of the big reasons why Wow is getting fewer and fewer subscribers.
Love my Augmentation and looking forward to more support specs in the future.
I understand why people want Aug. Evoker gone. Right now, even after a fix, they are still overperforming. Yes its fun to make things go boom, but at the same time its not fun when other classes miss the chance to join in when they are loosing even more raid spots. Personally I think it was about time to add a spec such as this to the game, and id even say perhaps it has room for one more spec like this. Maybe its more utility based rather than just giving buffs. At the same time I don't think they should have released Augmentation at all. Blizzard is always off when it comes to tuning classes and specs, do they get it right sometimes? Maybe. But they get it wrong more than most. Until Blizz finds a way to better track, tune, and implement good class changes I do believe that specs like Augmentation should be off the table.
They did this "cheese" in the first place to highlight how stupid it can get. They even shared this with Wowhead and posted it on Reddit on their own accord. So to assume it's just for fun and that they want to hide it somehow is entirely backward thinking.Augmentation evoker is a huge issue the way it currently works, and you can do this stacking tech on every single fight to get a 30-second window of absolutely silly dps. This breaks most fights this tier and will break fights next tier. So unless your guild has 4x aug vokers ready to play, you should start looking into it unless Blizzard somehow fixes it (for a mythic raiding guild, at least). They could fix this by somehow making the dmg additive that wouldn't break the 1x evoker you have in your raids and wouldn't hurt their m+ performance. But this kill is just one highlight of what you can do, and it's possible to do this on every single fight with a similar setup (source: the actual guild in the post).
WoW 2 needs to happen, the game is overbloated
Why the hell is their stacking multiplicative? Did they not think this through at all? So glad I am barely playing anymore.
Just a lil sidenote for ppl saying this took ''so much setup and hours of wiping'' we cooked up this tech by just talking and experimenting inside an empty raid just testing the range of ebon might. After that actually using the tech in a live raid is extremly simple and we went in and oneshot assault with 30 seconds spent no wipes or anything. This stuff will need fixses or you will for sure see guilds doing this in the next tier during progress x)
Boy has aug been a wild ride. As a healer main i love them cause they make my job so much easier in m+. previously tough healing encounters now are so much more doable. I suspect they will change this because they don't like when players are forced to engage in really bizzare behaviors i.e. Devoker optimal play involved cancelling disintegrate during dragonrage in season 1 so they altered the spec.I really am hoping they just add more support specs like augvoker but I think the short term solution is to just limit the buff interactions and reduce the amount of supportive benefit they provide to healers and tanks in m+
In other news, Augmentation Evoker has been nerfed to the ground.
I think :- People asking for aug to be removed are wrong. There's a way to balance a support class. It's not a fair solution.- People saying I love my aug, keep it up Blizzard, ignore the haters, are wrong. They bring nothing to the conversation. - People saying this isn't a problem are wrong. They also bring nothing to the conversation, they don't even mention balance, like it's nothing important to the game.- People saying just do the same thing are you'll perform just as good, no problem, are wrong. They also bring nothing to the conversation. They don't recognize the problem and thus they offer no viable solution.- People whining about how aug are overpowered, even though they are whinny and grating to the ears *sometimes*, are more or less right. Balance is important. There you go.
