my best time in raiding was far back in wrath. it was challanging but it was fun as well.my guess: the challange is still here, but blizzard dev build it around the top 1% players and not the average gamers out there.the one shot mechanics in raids and m+ are pug killers and the dev are just watching instead of fixing it.
Blizzard used to make the hardest contest challenging but fun and achievable. It’s clear that they’re no longer targeting mythic raids towards the general population, or even the top 1%. If they want to have content for the race to world first then have a separate tier and call it something appropriate and the only reward is the hall of fame. The current design is absurd and the antithesis of fun. Many people want to clear mythic for its rewards before the next raid tier. The published timeline for S4 is entirely unrealistic and disheartening. Why even raid if the end rewards are inaccessible? I’ll just get the loot from M+ and vault but M+ has its own problems at higher levels (specifically Tyrannical) and lacks top end rewards aside from some unrecognisable text after your name so I don’t see what’s in it for me.
At this point, it is far easier and more fun to get the money and pay for a boost.Game experience has become worse than most bad jobs, LMAO.
The WoW team needs to take some inspiration from FF (or their own game back in Ulduar) and make the very hardest content drop cosmetics and titles.I've known since the first week that I would never come close to killing Mythic Fyrakk, so I didn't join a raiding guild. I'm just logging in a couple days a week waiting for the next expansion. If this continues, I'll just stop playing until they fix it, like I stopped playing in Shadowlands. It's really a shame because this expansion started off way better than other recent expansions but there were only a fraction of former players willing to give it a chance.
I don't find and will never find anything funny about spending evening after evening dying to a boss because of others, I've done it in the past and honestly there was nothing funny about it, in fact it ended up that maybe the drops went to the ones that had caused the most wipes. when I finished the honor mode of bg3 the first thing I thought was how boring if I had to depend on others to finish the hardest mode.
Oh no the two most difficult fights in the most recent raid are not killed by everyone :(There's still more people not being able to progress cause of the stricth 20 man requirement than people who get stopped at a hard boss waiting for a nerf.
They need to get rid of fixed 20 man.
One shot mechanics need to stop, they makes me hate other people, friend too, the goal should be enjoy time playing togher. The more i raid mythic the more i start hating my friend and raiding fellows... pls stop that nonsense.Punish the single, not the raid, i wanna hear more..."ah %^&* i'm an idiot" X1 with no consequenserather then "ah &*!@ your are an idiot" X19 with a raid wipeand 1 question, where the crap is gone fight where you start in 20 and like 9 ppl can kill the boss from 20% to 0?or fight were 2-3-4 specialist make something so incredible the other 14 just dream and praise their effort?we just blame other and never celebrate someone special now, all do it well the same or someone is an idiotGG(specialist like the "quack quack" team on council, their are the heroes, priase to the "duckteam")
I kinda love that comparison between Raszageth and Fyrakk. Not because it shows that more people have killed mythic Raszageth by this point, but it shows how stupid this comparison is. Raszageth was in the first raid tier of the expansion. The tier that usually has a lot more active players, compared to the final raid tier.So saying that a lot more players killed Raszageth, when it's only about 25% more, is kinda stupid, when you consider that we very likely had way more than 25% more guilds in mythic raid at that point. Not to mention that Vault had one boss less as well. So if anything, Vault was a lot harder for the final boss compared to Amirdrassil.
"Ion says something and does the opposite", more news at 9. Been that way since he became Game Director.
Why would I do mythic if the normal transmogs look better
Poor Elitists. First they took over the game and made the Developer to exclusively circlejerk around their demands and now they complain that their very own creation became too hard for them.
The biggest problem with mythic raiding being so difficult is that it simply doesn't justify the risk vs reward. When you can 5-man mythic+ an 18 key and have mythic level gear in your vault, the incentive just isn't there. 20-man raiding is absolutely awful to coordinate, always has people sitting on the bench, and tends to create toxic guilds more often than not. Sure, there are certain mythic items you can only get from raid, but a large amount of it isn't better than mythic+ gear. You aren't even guaranteed to get geared faster in mythic raiding anymore in comparison to mythic+. So really, you are just left with mythic raiding for the challenge. Take away the challenge, and you've got nothing left. The game design has really backed Blizz into a corner. The only options you are left with is gutting mythic+ or gutting mythic raiding. The reality is that so little of the population run mythic raids vs run mythic+. Either way, someone is gonna be pissed.
Good, no more participation trophies.
So are they going to nerf Tindral or are they just going to relive 9.1/9.2 where raid took massive losses?
