lol, owned to whoever simply posted "first".Anyway, actually my father plays the game, so at the moment he's the oldest I know. I've seen him react in similar ways like I have to events like being ganked, so I don't think its so much the age, but the attitude.
there is a warlock in my guild who i believe is at least sixty. not entirely sure but i think i heard her say it on vent at some point.
There was a guy in his 70's that came to the internet cafe I used to go to. He didn't group up really, just sat there with his homemade sandwich running 25 dailies every day.

I think the age is irrevelant to how you approach the game. One of my alt guild master is 40yo and yet he is very awful at the game (seriously, he fail alot) and he blame OPness of paladin like a 11 yo kid would.
Some people have a really easy time to catch on in the computer would, while some stick to books. My old teacher is around 62 and he built my computer and works with building others, while teaching ofcourse.Sure, i can try and explain wow or something for an adult, but most people dont truly get the "real" point with it.
I honestly have no idea. People are just people the age is fairly unimportant if there interested in something. I play another MMO with one of my mates parents heh :)
One guy I group with regularly is 60.Heck, my mom is 71 and she's currently hooked on Morrowind.
I'm 31 and used to think there weren't too many people in the game older than me. Boy was I wrong. I grouped with a 50 year-old lady the other day for VoA10. She was a druid tank. A damned good one. I've run into several people in their 50s or older the last few months.I always knew WoW would be timeless, but it is also apparently ageless.
I work with a woman that's just past 60 years old. I first came across her in the line up for WotLK release (I was there with a friend, alas I didn't have the money to get it right away,) she was taunting the younger horde players and calling them noobs, it was rather hilarious. She even stole one of the cosplayers foam swords and started beating him with it (rather viciously actually) because he was annoying.
i have some guild mates who already date and/or have children that act like a bunch of kidsthey disapoint me some times acting like this. i mean, im younger and im more mature in my attitudes than themand thanks for this gramps photo, i've been looking for this :3
I'm 48, and my spouse is 62.We both play.
Great topic MasterOfDisguise !Well, I haven't encountered old people in game yet, but in my boyfriend's guild there's a mom that plays better than her son.And it's really funny listening them in ventrilo talking about house chores, or homework.Or sweet things moms say.But I really cant imagine my parents play the game. The only technology they know better than me is television and the fridge.
I play with quite alot of the "older" people in the game. Not in the 60's or 70's, but I play with both my mother and father, mom is pushing 55 and my dad is around 50.The guildmanagement in the guild I'm in is very family based. And all the officers (exept a son) is above 40. I think... Might get in trouble now :pI think the youngest person in my guild is 13. Maybe 12. And everyone get's along just fine, I don't think anyone actually care about the age difference. And on another note, it has to be the best guild I've ever been in. I think it might have something to do with the age of the guild management.
Heck, the average in age in my guild is around 30 and most of us are married and have children. The oldest in our guild is a 65 year old mother of one of our members. She's great, but tends to get stessed-out in instances and raids. However, she really enjoys the mental stimulation WoW provides and she has around 10 level 80s with max professions and loads of gold.I can't wait for retirement!
