I was hoping on atleast some updates on the whereabouts of the remaining San’Layn. Since they have lore significance, I find it rather strange to bring them back to play such a big part in the Alliance war campaign and Not mention a single word about them in the entire rest of the expansion, after Drevens death. Storytelling hasnt been satisfying for some time now imo, leaving things unfinished and untouched for too long. A better example would be Sylvanas her bargain with Helya, meh
This is good. Focus on making Shadowlands good, most people are tired of BfA anyways.
It sucks that we're not getting an 8.3.5 to wrap up the giant blade killing the planet :|
Ion is lying? We all know there is going to be a pre-launch patch before shadowlands...so there is your 8.3.5...lol
Look, the essence thing is crock and I definitely agree with everyone on that. The solution could have been to have us farm or grind for similar legion styled tokens to "unlock" ranks for essences instead of doing all the criteria for the essences on our alts. While that sounds dumb/lame, it is at least something that people could work towards. Not to mention, 8.3 is likely going to taper off once everyone maxes our their cloaks and get full clear the horrific visions with all masks active. Without a good alt-friendly environment there isn't much to stay around for post-AOTC or Cutting Edge. I do think that the one thing.....the one thing that is disheartening to hear about with not a possible 8.3.5 is that we may not get any more allied races until Shadowlands (maybe) or any new Core Race Heritage Armor....We are are still missing...Draenei, Troll, Orc, Human, Night Elf and Undead.
"It may not feel like it, especially for newer fans or those who don't follow the lore, but our showdown with N'Zoth is a major event in Warcraft history on par with facing Arthas or Illidan."And it's 100% Blizzard's fault for wasting one of their major lore villains (N'zoth) and huge lore theme (Black Empire, Nyalotha) on a single patch in a really bad expansion, without an actual new zone added that would go well with the theme of the patch. Illidan and Arthas actually got their own expansion, they featured in the expansion cinematic from the start, and they had a central role and several appearances throughout the expac. But in BFA Blizzard spent too much time and effort building up Shadowlands, so that they forgot to build up the actual expansion we were currently in.
N'Zoth is "on par with facing Arthas or Illidan"......and yet, he gets a patch of an expansion....while both of those villains essentially got whole expansions for their storyline (along with Lich King and Illidan both having continuing impacts after their expansions ended). Blizzard really missed an opportunity here, as they have with several lore-rich characters and zones. They could have done a whole Ny'alotha expansion, and instead....it gets the unceremonious "have a patch and a raid and you're done" treatment and goes the way of the Emerald Dream/Nightmare.
