Er, just a litle reminder because it seems that some have forgotten this: New players coming to the game do not have heirlooms yet so they don't get the benefits of equipping them! ;) Yes, heirlooms are currently over-powered stat wise so that change is needed.Anyways, let's see just how many are still jumping up and down in excitement 6-12 months after these changes + the next stat squish are in effect and they've taken 20+ alts through this "new" levelling experience. Anything will get boring the more times you repeat it, doesn't matter how you try to dress it all up to make it look all shiny and new! Heirlooms were meant to help get you through that quicker so you could get to the end-game excitement faster. If you don't like heirlooms then simply don't use them, there's nobody forcing you to do so! Just please stop complaining that heirlooms make it way too easy and fast, if that's your complaint then REMOVE your heirlooms and destroy them! ;)
These changes sound too good to be true! Hyped.
The xp req for levels under 60 is actually a nerf. There was a jump in 58-60 that's true, but you could go to Outland on 58 and the mobs there gave more xp, hence the higher requirement. Now those need less, but you need more at lower levels. I think overall this makes those levels slower. Thoughts?
why does blizz hate people that make alts ? so now running dungeons only is more worth than actually questing gg
Loom nerfs, @#$%ing annoying, but typical blizzard mindset. We bought the damn things, to make lvling easier, but as always you have to %^&* it up.The other changes are fine, but the loom nerfs are stupid as hell.
Whiners are always gonna whine. I for one can't wait! The heirloom nerfs were badly needed, imo. Leveling new characters these past couple of expansions has been mind-numbingly boring considering how someone can one-shot quest mobs even without any heirlooms. I look forward to being alt-tastic once again. :)
Amazing. I want to level something again!
Awesome changes! I am looking forward to this like many. Heirlooms will be sought after, but regardless of that, I think things will be fine.
I was briefly confused why people were excited for them making the process of leveling more grindy and tedious and then I remembered that there are people genuinely excited for classic servers to be a thing.Hopefully once those people have that time sink to jerk themselves off over they can let the rest of us have fun on our own schedules again.
I'm not so happy over the increased health pools, they seem to be more than doubled (a doubled health pool would've been okay), because especially classes with not so potent damage output might get the short end of the stick here? I mean, if you play a healer it already takes longer to kill stuff bc your focus is on healing damage, not dealing it ...Also I wonder what'll happen to professions? With being able to stay in certain zones longer, and enter others at an earlier lvl, a system like in Legion would be better or one similar to that in ESO (gathering notes and mat drops scaled to your profession or character level, so you don't end up with copper ore bc you levelled at lvl 40 in Bloodmyst Isle).
Personally, I love these changes. As someone who enjoys the leveling experience I see all of this as being a positive. For those who don't, well I can understand their frustration. But overall this makes WoW more rewarding, engaging and thoughtful than ever. Can't wait to try it!
This seems pretty terrible to me. I welcome the level scaling so that you can stay in a zone until you're done, but the rest seems to be pushing you to buy a boost. I'm a loremaster, I've done all the quests in all the zones and more besides in dungeons and such, when I level a character it's to get them to max level quickly, so I put on the heirlooms to become a rocket powered nuke. Nerfing heirlooms, increasing mob health, increasing required exp: it's all just padding to make leveling tedious and scam you into buying a boost.
