Nah, prior to this change it was only the Necrolords hearthstone that had a covenant restriction. It even stated on the tooltip it would only work for those pledged to Necrolords. The fact that the others didn't have the same wording or restriction was an oddity. Still, this change is a dumb move. Toys are meant to be fun little things. Let toys be toys.
Great Blizzard...i enjoyed using the venthyr hearth cause of my transmog set but because i'm night fae gotta find another mog theme.
Definitely a needed change. In another note, I noticed that the armor set I bought on my Night Fae main with thousands of anima doesn't unlock on my other Night Fae characters... I'm sure this is working as intended, though.
I think this is a bad decision - at the very least totally unnecessary. Unlocking something like the Lunar Elder's Hearthstone gives you access to options on all your characters. Unless Blizzard is planning to make covenant-specific Hearthstones take us to our covenant sanctums like the Garrison or Dalaran Hearthstone, there's no reason to make this a requirement. Personally, I like using a bunch of Hearthstone toys on a macro to randomly get different animations when I hearth. Who benefits from locking these down? No one. Who is hurt? People who like cosmetic variety. Now if they change them to be like Garrison Hearthstones, great. Otherwise, bad call.
"Meaningful hearthstones."Blizzard is losing the plot completely.
FIrst two undocumented changes to dailies, one in the Maw and one in Ardenweald and now this. Why is blizzard spending so much time on the little things instead of fixing their bigger issues with bigger bugs?
Would have been nice if they had finally fixed the graphic for the Kyrian Hearthstone Toy (currently using the Necrolord graphic). Seriously Blizz. Please!
I know that in the grand scheme of things, this is insignificant. However, I can't describe how annoyed I am by this. If it's a covenant specific toy, it should be like a garrison hearthstone and take you to the covenant hall (regardless of where you have your non-covenant hearthstone set). Let them share a cooldown, or have a separate cooldown like garrison HS, I don't care which.
What a waste of time and resources, going in exactly the wrong direction. Literally no good came from this decision, only annoyance.
Lame.
How it should have been since the start. It was weir that only the Necrolords one had this restriction. Now, can we talk about the Kyrian stone Icon, please?
