Dazed is one of the most annonying thing in WoW, i understand the mechanic for exping players, but wtf omg remove it for lvl capped people. This mechanic is not fun, is not challenging, it's just pure annoyment
So they nerf something or remove something so the new feature they are gonna add would seem more appealing. They've been doing the same with the old spells removing and then adding them later after some expansions as talents. So pathetic and disgusting...
It's not the end of the world, stop acting like it is a game-breaker thing, for N'Zoth sake.I do agree that "dazed" is annoying. But having a limited lung capacity underwater is annoying too. Dying from falling down a cliff is annoying as well. Slow swimming speed is annoying, etc.All of these mechanics, and countless others, are metaphors of what would happen if the game was real, for immersion purposes. In real life, if you cross a pack of ten angry enemies, while mounted on a horse, there are chances they will make you dismount. And in real life, falling down your horse dazes you most of the time. "Dazed" is a metaphor of that. You can think it's outdated, but in fact, it totally makes sense as a mechanic. It also makes sense to have ways to avoid being "dazed". Just buy Coarse Leather Barding, and rejoice for it brings a bit of usefulness to professions.
This is some F2P levels of development where you intentionally break something to get people to buy or use a new system you want to implement. Classic Blizzard right there.
The ppl advocating for this, i hope you enjoy a dead game, as thats EXACTLY how to accomplish that. smh
If they wanted to remove something, why not remove the daze mechanic in the first place? Nobody likes it, so why keep it?
Resounding Protection was going to go away in the next x-pack anyway, so I couldn't care less. Flying is like what, 1-2 months away, so it's not like I'm gonna run around getting dazed and dismounted. The only equipment I was ever gonna use were Inflatable Mount Shoes for waterwalking. That also doesn't really matter since I'm gonna fly around. So all in all, pointless and not worth the outrage I see in the comments.
*popcorn*
As a warlock, I am saddened by this regression. I understand why Blizzard do it, but I still think that it is perfectly legitimate to be upset that an article of Quality of Life is being removed.Good thing the other character I invest time in is a Death Knight.
Oh you have got to be #^%$ing kidding me. Blizzard keeps making changes to make the game less fun and steadily inching me towards quitting. It's not just any one thing. It's all the QoL losses, the depressing story that forces me to be a villain yet again, the feeling of neverending grind... the main thing I'm doing at this point is playing the auction house, and with the deflation that's gotten a lot less satisfying too. I have so much invested in WoW that I really don't want to quit, but lately it just feels like a waste of time.
No fun allowed.
Stupid unnecessary change... What they should have done is to remove Dazed from the game completely.Mount equipment implementation also really bad. They should allow to apply it on per mount basis so you can make your water walking mount, anti dazed mount and so on...With this change whole addition of mount equipment is useless and makes zero sense.
I dont like being dazed. Therefore i try to avoid running into mobs when patrolling Azeroth on my mount. If the world isn't dangerous we might as make all mobs non-hostile (you know the yellow health bars as in every starter zone).
I'm kinda tired of constant - we made a new feature, so we nerf/remove other things to make this new feature good simply because you have no other options. This way of designing things brings more disappointment, and when something new should be just exciting it always accompanied with disappointment because of designing things this way.Classic so far looks VERY VERY good, as close to "no changes" as possible with new client - at least here it's pure excitement, and only excitement :D
