Willem Dafoe as Uther Lightbringer?
If the guy plays Arthas in the eventual sequel to the film that'll prolly go over WCII, it'd just be that kickass
It's happening folks, you can't change my mind haha. Can already hear Invincible playing in the theaters... AN KARANIR THANAGOR <3
I love it, he does fit the part quite well. With a few tweaks his witcher persona easily slides right into the role.
Omg Awesome work!
the movie writes itself. would be a big win for everybody
annnd the obsessive idol worship of Cavil continues... literally zero indication of anything more happening with warcraft movie yet fans continue with this Cavil obsession and wowhead continues to post fan-art as news articles -_- side note, while that's some good art for sure, good fanart can make ANY actor work for the role. Cavil is hardly unique or the "only one who can play arthas" as some people seem to unironically think. There is a thing called ACTING, or do these fans think the only ppl who can play these roles are ones who have personal investment in said thing? also lol at ppl who think this movie would be good if Cavil played Arthas... like wat? do ppl really think casting = movie writes itself? have ppl not seen the track record of game movies?reminder, there are actual reasons why the Warcraft movie failed and casting wasn't one of them (on the whole, warcraft actually had good/okay casting). The movie sits at an average score of 4.2/10 on RT, even user score is just 76% <--- it was a BAD movie, just like most all game movies areso let's bring back the fans to reality here: Warcraft movie flopped and failed to make any real money for the studio (and it only made some money thanks to China, and even then was just short lived surge), investors don’t throw money into big budget movies to just break even which Warcraft barely reachedSo where exactly do ppl think "oh you can easily adapt Arthas's story in multiple movies" is ever going to get the investment? Investors and producers look at more than "omg Cavil plays wow" when deciding things, and the truth is, another Warcraft movie is incredibly unlikely.
He looks really good as arthas but im not confident that a movie around arthas would work. There are too many moving parts that need build up for arthas story to really play out. The ultimate fight before ascending the frozen throne between arthas and illidan would feel like crap if illidans story wasnt built up too, and illidans story doesnt really intertwine with arthas's for a sensible narrative to play out, and nobody wants illidan cut out to save time. They really need to do a motioncapture series instead, that would allow the world building required for a warcraft film to really work.
Pleaaaase, if you're going to make an Arthas movie follow the novel!
If they do make a movie they should not rush it and make it into 2 parts if it takes too long,i guess they wouldn't do something stupid to f up one of their best characters
There's 100% a better actor for the role somewhere, but everyone likes Cavill because he did Geralt justice and is a nerd, so he apparently must play Arthas or any potential Lich King movie will be trash. He's not a bad pick, but people are going insane over this as if he's literally the only option. As if he is Arthas incarnate.
Please do these movies while he is still young, we need him to play the son, not the father.
Oh, no
If this is really about to happen...am buying world premiere 1st row tickets
i love this idea however they will blackwash the $%^& out of it and cast a black jaina and ruin the whole thing
Natalie Portman as Jaina.
