I prefer woman raid leaders. They're more calm.

Our raid leader is a guy.To be fair I think it has more to do with the desire to lead (and of course to be good at it), than a particular bias towards one gender or the other.
I have a female raid leader. She's an older woman, but she gets the job done, is pleasant, and very fun to talk to. She is also my guild leader.
I hated when my guild leader (male) left and our female officer took over. I generally prefer male leaders, they enforce rules without much question.
I am a woman and would love to lead raids in a *good* raiding guild. As it is, I have yet to find one that is not elitist, and establishing a good one and going through the recruiting process is painful, and I just don't have that much time to devote to it (yet!).With that being said, I have never ever had a raid lead by a woman, that I can recollect. In fact, in all my guilds that have fallen apart, it has been over another girl in the guild causing drama/fights/breakups in an online relationship.I can also agree that in an age of technology, it makes me want to pursue Psychology as a major in college, (after 3 years in a different major, haha) and then study online gaming interactions. People are angry and mean to each other online constantly, so I think a good question to ask is - what about the anonymity of the internet unleashes that pent up rage? What makes it okay to say horrible things to another person, when you would *never* say that to a person face-to-face? But it IS interesting, and it *does* make the mind boggle. Very good points you have, you have made me think even more about how the internet shapes us!
I've led many raids, and I'm female. Works out pretty good. Just have trouble with younger boys, since they generally don't want to listen. And I've also had an assortment of male/female raid leaders. Both male and female leaders seem to be stern, tough, but kind people, in most general cases. I had a male GL that treated women like utter crap though, and, just like you said, reflected sexist men out in today's society. Last guild I was in though, me and another female led raids. I'm the main tank, and she was the main healer.
I'm a female and a RL/GL. Although recently I've gotten a good friend to step up and we now RL together as a team (He's a tank, I'm a healer) and things go rather smoothly (probably helps that he has a sexy aussie accent and we're both very mellow). Most of the raids and guilds that I have been in have been lead by men and all of the most recent female-lead raids that I have been in have been absolutely awful. I don't think it's gender as much as just ignorance of the encounters and how to lead, though.
I'm female. I am also a guild leader. The raids are shared over who formed the event. if it was my idea, I had to run it.I am a little ball of rage. So the comments about women being more pleasant as raid leaders, i must disagree. My guild is all males however. most didn't believe I was female until I hopped on vent. I think we have one casual female in the guild, and she joined because her boyfriend raided with us. I dont care about gender. What i care about is the lead knowing WTF to do.I've been in so many pugs, and a few other guilds before creating mine. It made raiding not only terrible, but long drawn out and boring or stressful at times. This is why I lead if I can, if you want something done right, gotta do it yourself.
Personally i belive that women are more organized calm two things can never be missing from a good raid and the most important authoroty cuality that most women have SO yeah i prefer a woman leader and can be complamente with a male (some females are to softhearted)
