If there are questions which aren't already answered in a guide about buildings, let me know and I'll add a blurb about it to this post!
Off-topic question: What about that Highmaul giveaway of the Magic Rooster? Never saw winner or anything for it..
This is my first day back from vacation and the prizes haven't been assigned yet. Paperwork for the prizing was handled before I left which can take a little time.
Okay! Thanx for the fast reply :)
Under 'What building to build early on'. Do you really want to mention the Herb Garden in there?Maybe just a note saying. Note, the mine is only available at level 92, and the herb garden only at level 96.Otherwise, a new 90 here would think that maybe they can get a mine and herb garden as soon as they get a garrison.
Sure, I can clarify that they're meant to be useful to pick up as you're leveling and not right at 90.
Just two quick notes on the Dwarven Bunker. The work orders have a chance to drop Follower upgrades to weapons and armor as well as you can receive 1 of your 3 Seals for free each week.
This is true about the Dwarven Bunker, but it's explicitly stated in the tooltip and the guide is highlighting things the tooltips omitted.
What is difference between lvl90 follower working at building and lvl100 follower. For me it seems ~50% for bonus material for lvl90 and 100% for lvl100, maybe someone else has more low lvl data.Perk from building not included in tooltip - upgrading Town Hall gives us Tower of War near Mine with portal to Stormsield at top of it. Not sureabout names or locations in Horde garrison.Big 'perk' of Inn is new crystal of insanity, reusable +200 stats.Common question/lack of knowledge, all lvl3 blueprints won't show untill you upgrade garrison to lvl3
Might want to footnote about the Outposts, I've often had to field questions on how those relate to the main garrison - especially the Lumber Mill in Gorgrond and if that was the same thing as the one in the Garrison and if you had one, was the other needed.Come to think of it, most of the questions I've had pertaining to such have been due to the descriptions of the Gorgrond outpost choices.
A clarification for the Follower bonus to work orders is a 50% chance of doubling a work order at level 90 + 5% per level after that, so 55% level 91, 60% level 92, all the way to 100% at level 100. That means if you pick up your 6 work orders every day on an alt, you'll receive an average of 9 materials with a follower at level 90 assigned to your building, and always get 12 when that follower is at level 100. Personally I think it's worth leveling followers to 100 on alts for this.
You might also list the different benefits of assigning a follower to a given building outside of the increased work order yield, such as Enchanting follower giving the 'transmog' weapon illusions or the Inscription follower giving the daily Reciept cooldown.
Excellent, a FAQ guide. FAQ guides in general are very helpful resources imo and I'll probably be referring to this if I don't already know the answer to a question when people ask around in trade chat (sick of the "Google it/Wowhead is your friend" answers).
The inn will yield a lot more garrison resources than the lumbermill for less work if you don't already have a follower with Scavenger.
I'm still curious about a quantification of the benefits of the Gorgorond outpost choices for your garrison. Lumber mill suggests that your garrison buildings will cost less resources - any idea what that savings looks like? And the Gorgorond Sparring Arena suggests that there will be some extra training for your followers - is that some specific missions or something else?I'm running alts through and doing various things but some of this stuff is pretty esoteric trying to get an idea of the differences!
Can you put small plots to large plots?
