As Anduin said of Garrosh's Alliance counterpart Varian:"You never surrendered, even here, at the very end." Funny how they both ended the same way, peaceful nonexistence after being turned to ash. I'm sad he never got to smash skulls in Maldraxxus where he really belongs, but in a way this is better, he gets to go out on his own terms as an unrelenting, unbreakable badass. For him to be allowed to become one of the necrolords would mean he'd have to become a broken, spineless weasel like Thrall or Vol'jin. Rest in peace Warchief, you did your people and your father proud.
"While the Sylvanas finale cinematic took a bit of a shocking twist"To who? People called the "redemption arc" back in mid BFA. Sure nobody knew about the Jailer, but people did call that she would have some redemption arc or "was actually a hero all along" crap. There was absolutely no twist here for anyone who knows how Blizzard tells stories.
yeah well... i always disliked him anyway (i play horde). good to know he is gone for good ( at least i hope this is what i just saw)his deeds pale before what his father achieved, kinda sad, that he tried but never even came close, i feel sorry for garrosh
So I watched this cutscene now but still don't understand his fate afterwards. What happened?
Why Grom's music was playing? He was a pile of poop compared to his father's both realities. MU Grom killed Manorroth and lifted the blood curse from the orcs. AU Grom, who wasn't corrupted and much weaker than the MU one oneshotted resurrected Manorroth and helped us kill Archimonde. What this little pile of poop did? NOTHING. Succumbed to his pride and manifested the sha around him. And it wasn't even heroic. We defeated the Soulrender that's why he was able to free himself and used all of his anima (Atoning spells appeared around him) to blast his tormenter. I seriously can't find any heroism or something similar to Grom here. It was typical Garrosh, proud and arrogant. But at-least there isn't any redemption arc.
"Dogmarx11 hr 11 min ago (Patch 9.1.0)thanks for the poor payoff low effort cutscene blizzard"Yeah, one of the worst. The chain breaking animation was laughable.
Why the hell he explodes? And that lip sync... what a terrible cinematic...
all those comments on the lip synching animations and yet this pales in comparison to the awful jaw movements in the Ardenweald cinematics, both the one with Sylvanas discovering the last decoy and Jaina finding what Anduin was up to.
Proof again we horde players are prejudiced.Kael’thas refuses to be used and wants revenge, staying true to his character. Is praised by horde playersGarrosh refuses to be used and wants revenge on his torturer and being true to his character goes berserk and kills the guy. Is praised. But sylvanas, staying true to her character, who does everything she can to not be forced to serve, to control her own destiny for once, is villified by the community because its the cool CIS thing to do.
lol he got disenchanted.Seriously, as an Alliance main, I hate Garrosh for blowing up Theramore yet somehow pinning the blame on Jaina. BUT, I love the fact that he stayed true to himself in the end and called out Thrall for being a self righteous coward. No excuses about having a hard luck life, or was misled by a bad guy, or his "good soul" was stolen therefore he was less culpable for his actions. He was just strait up, "Yes I killed all those people, and Id do it again too. F- Thrall, F- your rehab, For the true horde!"
Is he dead, in a #$%^ ingame cinematic that does not even do lipsync? really?

well that was a worthy sacrifice. :)
Ah ah! Goodbye forever crying orc! =D
