The writing this expansion has been all over the place, with the premise of Dragonflight itself being a contradiction (repudiation?) of Cataclysm. Why should I feel invested if all the current writers are capable of is going around in circles while proclaiming that past writing was too "comic book-y" and yet theirs feels even dumber?
Please please please PLEASE explore Nozdormu changing minor, insignificant events in the name of morality and empathy, slowly escalating to larger and larger interventions before becoming Murozond by trying to prevent his own death. With the aspects being basically fully powered again, it makes the most sense that post 10.2 would be when Nozdormu would actually transform into Murozond. It's my own personal theory that the true "Rise of Murozond" is when Nozdormu makes exceptions in his protection of time for empathy, something which was hinted at in the 10.1.7 questline. Maybe the entirety of the megadungeon wasn't so a proto-dragon Nozdormu could be corrupted by Deios (which doesn't make sense, given Nozdormu was nothing more than a proto-drake at the time, not an aspect), but instead to seed the thought into Nozdormu that time can and should be changed without consequence.
Although I agree with you, let me correct you in certain aspects (no pun intended):
So when do we get to inevitably kill them?
The force of life is cunning. Beware the eyes of green.
I am waiting to see if Vyranoth contacts the remaining Chromatic dragons. I can easily see her becoming a voice for all the flights that do not directly fall under the existing aspects. If she was pissed at Odyn those guys are gonna blow her into Pokémon-rage-evolution
Look like Death Knight Eye Glow Effects.
Now ...we know that Blizzard is basically a 5years old when it comes to story telling. However, if you think about it:The Titans who represent Order wants to controll live. To be able to mold life how they imagine it and in a tight corset of what should be possible. This is their vision of life and this is appearently a concept that is not videly popular by those affected by it -> Dragon aspects and incarnates are hinting at this.Elune and the Winter Queen represent life in a very free way. Life should develop as it pleases, though Elune is known for changing life to some degree to her will -> Night Elves, Moonkins, Dryads, etc.But despite that, the affected by it see it themselves as a blessing and improvement. So now the Dragon Aspects are switching teams.Alextraza is in deep sorrow for her decision to bidn herself to the Titans, it seems she was either decieved or it was a necessary sacrifice at that time.Anyway, now the Aspects are changing teams. In the grand Scheme this might have been Elunes plan after the stories of Shadowlands unfolded. As she saw this opportunity arise with creating a World Tree so powerfull to be able to even rival the Titans might and now being able to not only grant Nightelves their powers (probably), but also the Aspects theirs. The implication is extreme:SInce now the Aspects themselves are required to protect the new World Tree of the Nightelves since it is the source of their power.Elune is a mastermind.
The titans protect Azeroth (the planet), because it protects Azerroth (a growing Titan) inside. Once the latter Azeroth awakes, the Titans will no longer have a use for that planet and will abandon it.From the Titans view, the dragons were just a line of defense to protect Azeroth, and they made them aspects to control the dragons.
I'm not going to lie, these look tacked on. Death Knights are done better.
Lazy writing again. Now they just deny cata happened. The time of dragons is over here is the new time of dragons. Dying and sacrificing means nothing anymore. Everything can be undone. And it makes no sense at all that a tree gives them the power back instead that the tree needs the blessing first. WoWs lore is such a mess since WoD and it gets worse and worse.
