Thundering needs an overworld visual, not just a + or - in the debuff frames. Debuffs on my frames are really small because I only see what is dispellable--so I dispell it--but thundering appears as well by the WoW UI default I assume so we can see who is positive and negative. But I can't always spend the focus to: glance at the party frames, know who I will discharge with, make sure I'm close to them, make sure someone else isn't planning on discharging with them, paying attention to boss mechanics, and seeing how much time left I have with Thundering in order to make time for all of this movement. Right now, we just see a grey swirly over people's head. That's not good enough. I should only have to look at their heads or rely on the party frames if I can't spot a team member. This is why people are forced to use addons that scream X or above their head in /say. People always panic and discharge it immediately or usually get stunned. Even if I reposition to allow the full use of the affix, someone will immediately run to be because they probably don't want to worry about it (for the above reasons) in 10 seconds. Other than that, Thundering is a cool and unique affix. I like how it isn't just an increase in damage, but provides other benefits to really change up what you're going to do the moment it arrives.Oh, and yes CoS and SBG are piss easy. They need to change this. Knowing how pathetically they scale, I'm less and less impressed at the world first +20 because it was SBG.
Thundering doesn't feel fun at all, you don't even feel the buff from it. You know it's there but it doesn't change anything other than bigger numbers for a little while. Also, did the balancing patches stop already? It's been just a month and there hasn't been any balancing in the last two weeks... that goes for both dungeons and classes.
If I hear "Tyran" one more time. Stop it.
I feel like class balance is a bigger issue than the dungeons. You've got some specs miles above similar ones, to the point that it's not even viable to bring non-metas for pushing up because there just isn't a circumstance in which they can push the necessary numbers. Not even gear can bring it up, either. Also, CoS might be easy overall, but Slicing Maelstrom on Adviser Melandrus being bugged is still a problem, particularly for Tyrannical weeks. I attempted an 18 last week, and it boiled down to our Prot Warrior soloing it from 30%.
It is not just dungeon imbalance. Add spec (noe even class) imbalance is huge. My aff, 38k overall in dungeons. My demon, almost 70k. The design of classes is simply not finished. I am loving the beta so far, though.
A lot of fair points, Thundering isn't fun or interesting - but it's not bad either imo. My biggest complaint is that it's another level of visual noise to contend with at the worst possible times. I like to turn spell effects up so it's even a struggle somtimes to quickly identify what's what
M+ is so overtuned. Nerf the hell out of it already. It's literally unplayable.
This is the worst balance I've ever seen in M+, it's all over the place. It's like they didn't even test it.
I don't like how overdeveloped some of the new dungeons are. The dragonflight dungeons feel like they're overloaded with mechanics while the returning dungeons feel just right. I think the dragonflight dungeons would be fine if we didn't have thundering to worry about on top of the other stuff. I get what they're going for but thundering in my opinion is more of an annoyance than a fun gameplay mechanic.
Thundering is great fun, when you communicate well with your group on comms and time it with a BL before or during a boss pull it's fantastic.
Thundering is a mediocre-to-terrible affix. In pugs as a tank, I'm constantly trying to clear my own debuff because no one seems to care to help. I don't need the DPS, but I do need to not get stunned, especially as a warrior tank. Shadowmoon is a snoozefest. I barely have to care and things just melt. Court of Stars too if people know the tricks. I hate the change in the trash on ToJS. Why did they add trash in the boss room? Pugs just want me to pull everything, and I'm trying to LoS pull one group at a time so we don't wipe to the 20MillionDPS hydrolance casts through the wall. Wise Mari did not need another mechanic. Why is that even a thing? I did Challenge mode back in the day and I don't remember those pools at all. The worst though is RLP. The Channelers at the end are obnoxious for healers. The trash before the second boss is just a constant source of anxiety if the DPS doesn't know what an interrupt is. A close second worst is AV because the timer is stupid tight, runbacks are way too long even with the superfluous teleport ---why not just spawn at last boss?, the next-to-last boss spawns on the first safe zone (inevitably covering it with crap because of stupid DPS who don't understand how to stack) and the slow and orbs on the last boss is just an endless tank/melee punishment fest that I hate.
Personally, don’t care about thundering. Other than as a tank, it stunning you during a frontal mechanic that you can’t dodge cause of other mechanics going on at the same time(Last boss from Vault). Ruby Life Pools is a complete s*** show with pugs, cause not only is it easy to pull some packs before second boss, but people not being able to keep up with the damage output that the packs do(either because dps don’t use defensives or some other reason). With Nokhud, I have a personal gripe. My ignore list grew by 30 people just this week of doing it. Not only do people start aggressively being toxic for not doing the skip from the back. But also sending hate mail through ingame mail after the key is done with new characters that they then delete afterwards.Court of Stars, Jade, Halls of Vallor are the easiest dungeons I had to pug to be completely honest. If I were to rate them all purely off of my own experience with pugging. With the easiest one at the top:1. Halls of Valor2. Jade 3. Court4. Vault5. BSG6. Academy7. Pools
The problem with Thundering is that it does not allow any creating ways of using it, or at the very least, allow any freedom of how to use it.What was a fun season? How about BfA Season 4 with all those portals? How about Shadowland Season 1 where you can choose when to use the Prideful buff? How about Shadowland Season 2 where you can choose to save time by skipping a mini-boss?Thundering is just lazy.
Hard to want to watch dratnos anymore after his guild tried to exploit the lariet crafting and bullied the guy in trade chat who would do it for free, poptart corndog was just being totally uncool on tich this expack, and think it's funny to rip off regular gamers while they make their influencer videos and make irl money.
