I guess Fire Mages don't exist in PvP. Enhancement Shamans with the right procs can one shot anyone as can Arcane Mages with AP PoM Pyro. Shadow Priests are listed as S-tier, but literally nothing is said about them. Survival Hunters being A-tier is laughable as they are C tier at best. Balance Druids are probably the easiest spec to kill in Classic even if they do go utility and forego Moonkin form, but are listed as B-tier...Moreover, there is no one-size-fits-all best PvP class or specs in Classic. They are specific to the PvP content you are doing. For example, Feral Druids are S-tier amazing in Warsong Gulch, but are nearly useless in Alterac Valley. AV builds are different to AB builds are different to WSG builds are different to WPvP builds. This is quite possibly the worst Tier List I've ever seen on Wowhead. You really needs an editor that pre-reads articles before they are posted. This is like going to Noxxic for "Best DPS specs" level of bad... embarrassingly bad.
This guide is irrelevant. Arena is not in classic wow. The rating system this author uses is the exact same one that Retail uses to distinguish different specs in terms of viability in arena. The problem with this guide is this: Classic wow doesn't have specs, it has talent trees. The difference between a "demo warlock and a "destro warlock" in Classic is minimal. In retail, demo and destro are completely different classes. Thats why this rating system falls flat. It assumes that people play the spec and not the class. Different games.
Can say any warlock spec is top tier.only dps spec with efficient heals, loads of cc, and between life drain, life tap, drain mana (has its uses few they may be) they are basically versatile in how they want to fight/defend themselves.demon's give u much use too. pesky rogues/cats? got a demon to detect invis.need a bit of extra life? VW got you covered.etc etc.
Though the guide recommends skipping Divine Spirit as discipline, it can be quite useful as a cover buff, particularly as Alliance.
Druids are un-killable in wpvp if played correctly. Rogues are not that great, and get even worse as gear gets better. Cold blood is a meme spec.
Balance Druids have Arcane Mage icon, and Arcane and Fire Mages are missin"
This must be written by a retail player, who never experienced the PvP of Vanilla. There is no good way to determinate how good a "spec" is, since there are no specs just talents. Also PvP is situation oriented in Classic like druid rogue shaman are very good in WSG but not that good in AV.Enhancement shaman and retribution paladin can kill you within 2 sec with a good proc.Try not to make list in Classic and let the people play what the hell they want to play.Classic is about fun and not about arbitrary lists.
Better make a guide about how to survive to the 6h+ queue xD
bad list, it looks nice but its very misleading.
Most tier lists not written by people who invest their entire lives into one spec or passtime like farming tends to be sub-par at BEST on wowheadThe Classic Wowhead is run by people who either haven't really played classic before or haven't played enough to truly know what they're writing about and just go by hearsay
I like you people who say there is no spec in classic. 😊 Where does spec derive from?Specialization, ie: A choice of playstyle depicted by the specialization points you spend in a talent tree. So many bad quarrels over retail and classic. WoW is WoW. Nuff said.
Okay, guys, I think we all get the picture, it's a bad list. It's not a definitive list, and it doesn't claim to be. It's just listing some strengths and weaknesses of different classes - that's all. I highly doubt anyone is making their character decisions based on this. It's probably just a quiet day at Wowhead HQ, calm down.
@ArchimtirosPvP is more broad, you can't just clump it up with one word. You have to be specific ex: randoms/premade/world pvp and even which bg they excel at withing ced category. Something as simple as a better trinket or weapon makes a certain class better over another. Happy to answer more questions.
It always amazes me just how offended people get over these types of lists. Some of you call these lists bad and yet the way you are behaving suggests that you treat these kinds of lists as if they are set in stone. As if the new Wowhead PvP tier list is the new bible for Classic WoW from here on out and now must be strictly followed. Are you folks playing with the types of people that will look at these lists and stop playing with you because someone put your spec on the F tier? Because that's not a problem of tier lists, that's a problem of the company you choose to keep. This list is one groups collective opinion on how these specs rank in PvP... You guys behave as if your ability to play a game is being threatened because of a silly PvP list. It's supposed to encourage thoughtful discussions in regards to each specs viability in PvP. If you can't be bothered to put forth the time to adequately critique the article then your comments aren't adding anything remotely valuable to the discussion. These tier lists aren't intended to be taken so dang seriously. If you think a particular class has strengths or weaknesses that are not being adequately appreciated then post a comment and say so. People come here for knowledge and you have the ability to share yours. Why is it that you can't be bothered to share that knowledge and yet you have no problem critiquing others?
