Blizz wants new players to experience the old content, fine. Will they fix any of the long-standing bugs we encounter or will they continue to ignore them so new players get the full frustration, I mean, experience of running the Twilight Highlands intro 8 times before it finally doesn't break phasing (and other similar content transition issues). I'd like to see more "I've done this before, just take me to the new zone" skips like they've done for Legion intro and Broken Shore but applied to old content for those of us leveling alts.
How funny. I hope all the whiny little bi***es will finally leave WoW.
Absolutely the right move. The whole purpose of the RAF program is to bring new people into the game, and the point about becoming quickly overwhelmed with tons of new abilities after a single dungeon is valid. I'm sure people will say "welp, then you just need to get off your lazy a** and read some guides and learn how to play your class". Easy to say for someone who has already spent a ton of time learning their class and fine tuning their rotations, etc, but I highly doubt anyone new to the game would be eager to adopt that method as their primary way to learn how to play, nor should it be necessary.
Good job Blizz...screwed this one up too
I don't disagree with Blizzard's reasons. I played on and off for many years. I just recruited my boyfriend who wanted to pace himself and see the game, and we kept out-leveling all of the zones we were working on so quickly. My other friend who rolled a character to level with us couldn't keep up with us (in full heirlooms). I actually barely had to do any questing at all to hit 100. Would run a few dungeons with a group of friends a few times a week and gain multiple levels. For a complete noob, the fast pace people take dungeons were overwhelming because he barely had time to learn his abilities before gaining more, and felt he couldn't keep up. He's like me, I don't want to be carried. So we 3 or 4 manned most dungeons and avoided dungeon finder completely. I felt like we were throwing a lot of information at him all at once instead of him being able to learn the game organically the way I did over 10 years ago. I can see how this is an upset for people who want to power level. But I don't think my bf got the full game experience. But I wanted my mount so RAF was the way to go ;)
What a F*$#%@g joke. Literally pointless to do this now. OMG people are giving us 1000s of dollars to quickly level new toons on fresh accts, and then paying us 100s of dollars in addition to transfer them to our existing accts. Makes perfect sense coming from a company who can make sure raids/dungeoons have the right specs but throws a 100% dps team into a BG against a team with a tank and 2+ healers. Blizzards motto should be 1 step forward and 10 steps back.
