I don't understand all the complaining about the secret vendors. All 3 toys and the transmog troll shoes found on Horde side go into your account wide collections. Even if you're diehard Alliance like me, you have at least one Horde alt. I had all the items less than 10 minutes after logging in on one of my Horde characters. That leaves the Posts vs. the Lucky items. I consider those a wash or, in my case, the Alliance won out because the Lucky shirt happened to work out perfect with the transmog I was wearing on my mage. The Posts are funny (love the vendor...lol) but who's going to care about them or the shirts a day after they get them?
You can actually wait until stage 7 of the scenario to get the Charred Locket, just turn around as soon as stage seven starts and go down the hill until you reach the alter. Will still have enough time to get back to the main group before the fight with Krosus starts.
This is not 'fun' at all and quite a nasty move by Blizzard, why punish people eager to go and see what the *story* was about? The unfairness of the Horde / Alliance rewards seems quite questionable as well.
as a person with the foresight to buy the shoe transmog in patch 5.3 I'm extremely annoyed at blizzard for including them in this patch......
While I think Blizzard dropped the ball when it came to giving Vol'jin things to do between MoP and now, I'm actually super excited for Sylvanas to lead the Horde. My only complaint is that Blizzard keeps trying to Flanderize her into just being evil, when in reality she was morally gray at worst. For some reason it's okay to slaughter sentient creatures by the thousands, torture your prisoners, even escalate a cold war that could lead to the end of all life on your planet... but lying once or twice is the real deal-breaker. Come on, really? I realize this game is written for teenagers, but I think most of them could easily handle a little more nuance than "ME GOOD, YOU BAD, WE FIGHT NOW!"So far I feel like this is the best pre-launch event in the game's history, and I can tell they put a lot of work into it. But as others have said, do they really have to keep making things exclusive and inaccessible? I didn't know about the Charred Locket, so now I have to go run yet another character through the scenario to get it. Not only do I not really want to do the scenario a fifth time (I've gone 2x on Alliance and Horde each), it's valuable time I could be spending on getting shards. That's the problem with these events, instead of simply playing them for their own sake I always have to calculate how much grinding I'll need to do to get all the rewards I want. Blizzard is so quick to gamify their game that they're actually getting in the way of the fun. Can't they make these events accessible via NPC later in the expansion? Then we can grind at our own pace and enjoy ourselves, instead of worrying about filling a quote before the deadline. I feel the same way about legendary quest lines, even though I've already done them all I want to be able to go back and re-live the good times with Wrathion on my alts every now and again. Blizz, please stop taking away reasons for me to stay subbed to your game!
I see people upset but remember for the horde items we were told that they weren't suppose to be coming back in game after 5.3 Kron Kron event... but Blizz bought them back "secretly" sort to speak. I will gladly use my free character upgrade on a horde for it. P.s. isn't the vendor outside on the harbor of Durotar and not in the actual broken shore event.
(watching Horde cinematic)Lok'tar ogar! Victory or death*!(* Disclaimer: death does not actually include death. Statement not valid in Kalimdor, the Eastern Kingdoms, or the Broken Shores. Do not bend, fold, or mutilate. Void where prohibited.)
Seriously messed up. As someone who has no alts. If this is the way Blizzard is going to start off their new "fresh slate" expansion, probably not going to get Legion after all.
Alliance one is useless;)
Wishful thinking, my friend. You and me both resent Vol'Jin being a wasted, interesting character. You and me both resent Blizzard just killing him with a completely anticlimatic strike to make path to Sylvannas. But we're horde, and horde doesn't matter - only to make villains, of course.
Loll I had to go to wowhead to see what happenened to the king, that's lame from Blizzard.Varian end was stupidKilled the giant then no back up from the troops that was going to flee.If Guldan is capable of doing giants like that it's farfetched so why not pop several of those each morning after coffee?Lame lame lame
And here I thought blizzard was just showing there favoritism to horde by giving them both videos. but they also get the old toys. Well if you have no horde you best buy a lv. 100 boost for only $60 to get them.
Now I gotta level up my other Horde toon because I didn't know about this till I had already completed the event on my max level Horde character. :(
