I do hope they reconsider rising sun kick, It's boring as hell for brewmaster and it should at least grant stagger or reduce brew cooldowns by one second.
Just a note. The Fluidity of Motion Talent currently reads, "Blackout Kick's cooldown is reduced by 1 sec and its damage by 10%". I hope that this is just a miss-label, and that the damage actually is being increased, but if that's not the case, then maybe Shadowboxing Treads, or another option would be the way to go... unless the 1 second cdr is worth a 10% damage loss?. I find that hard to believe.....
I Love a lot of what is said here, It's good to hear feedback from a Brewmaster who sounds like he has actually played the spec.I think with the significantly reduced cooldown of Celestial Brew thanks to having accsess to Light Brewing and Black Ox Brew at the same time, that blizzard should consider giving Celestial Brew a second charge somewhere on the tree. Since Celestial Brew is realistically a 36~ second cooldown, even less with light brewing, a lot of cooldown reduction from Keg Smash can go to waste, and I feel like a second charge would alleviate this. Also, Now that Healing Elixer is specifcally a Brewmaster skill and not shared with the other specs, I feel like it should be redesigned into a Brew, "Healing Brew" and recieve cooldown reduction from Keg Smash and Tiger Palm. Finally I feel like Elusive Footwork, Blackout Combo, and Stormstouts last keg are Oddly placed being locked behind Niuzao, when they have nothing to do with Niuzao and don't affect it in any way. This could easily be fixed with a few more connected nodes.
It should be noted that Blizzard responded on the first day monk talents came out that the Roll talent below Soothing Mist is for a second charge to the baseline skill. While gating three charges behind SooM is still pretty annoying it's not preventing players from having Roll as the article suggests.
The roll on the class tree is a second charge, we have one by default. I'd recommend explaining this in the point where you say "its core kit" we need to take. With all the extra movement speed there is no need for the extra roll. With the choice of celerity and chi torpedo as EASY access nodes. We can take reduced cd and a second charge of roll anyway. Not sure if you've played alpha or seen anyone else playing it, but you can free up those two points in the Mistweaver side and put them in far better spots.
- skipping black ox statue? it's a super addition for m+, i prefer to not take RSK- black ox brew: if monk is as good as now, we do not need so much defense button, given dampen harm and diffuse magic we got both defensive cd from class tree, i will take a bob and wave, is 1 less button- SP or RJW, just a preference and how many gcd u want, giving up RSK open for RJW- we got gai plins, why take even healing elixir, is not needed so much healing, and we save 1 more button- end tree is where we can have a lot of strange fun, we need obviusly 2 keg smash, but other then that we can go full 2x covenant, or charred + covenant, or high tollerance + charred.... is just open business
About vivify... its a great option for solo questing! When you review a class you need to understand that not all people care about raiding and not all skill should be part of raiding or M+... Next time you will review a class be more open minded dont review it for yourself only..Actually what was missing from Bremaster in SL was self sustain... I could go and solo everything with my protection paladin, my Demon Hunter and my blood DK.. even rare elites... but with Brewmaster I had serious problems... I had no way to self heal! Now if this vivify changes means that I am strong in open world and self sustained as a paladin / DK/ DH then is more than welcome!maybe there should be a proc like talent that will give you a non - cost vivify to useAs for Shocking Blow its an amazing talent for open world and especially for farming old content and having an instant pull (in old content may also be instant kill as well)
I never ever. EVER. Post comments on Wowhead. This is legit my very first comment. But I had to. I understand that most guides and news are targeted at m+ players or raiders. But I think it's simply outright wrong to comment on new abilities with things like "Summon Jade Serpent Statue is completely worthless." or " Summon Jade Serpent Statue? Oh wow, when I stop tanking to channel heals, it does twice as much?". I get it. It is worthless for people who push high keys, or for people who progress in raids. But it's not worthless for everyone. Why does every single ability in WoW has to be min-maxed to such an extreme? First there was an outcry when the old talent trees were removed. "Choice to the players!" "Let me build my own style!" people cried. Then we had the simple 3-choice talent trees. Also bad! Now, with a hybrid class, people get upset that the class gets access to *drumroll* hybrid abilities!Let Blizzard try out new stuff instead of pushing the agenda of "A tank should have a shield and taunt that's it" or "Any ability other than damage on a dps is worthless."Of course this a very cynical way of putting it, but I for my part: My fondest memories aren't the ones were I tanked a boss correctly and flawlessly the 376 time because of my flawless tank kit. It is me as a tank paladin saving a total group wipe at a trash pack in a dungeon. It's goofing around summoning my statues in a city while chatting with people. Hell it's me dropping my serpent statue in a pack of non-elite trash mobs and feeling like an undefeatable god (Numbers speaking I wasn't).So let Blizzard give us flare, farsight, eyes of the beast, serpent statue, whirlwind, taunt, ritual of doom. Are some abilities not feasable? Yes. But damn, they do are part of the class. There are m+ players, raiders, pvpers but also your average joe and I think they too deserve some stuff. You don't need to spec and talent into healing on a tank or a dps, but allow others to do so. Let me be a class and not a spec.
who let this man write this post there is so many wrong talent points spent xD L
I relate to a couple of the recent posts. I don't tank instances, I just want to do world content while chugging beers. Does it look like Brewmasters will have more DPS than before, and have fun soloing world bosses with these extra DPS talents?Oh, and and I'd also like a glyph to make Blackout Kick look like the old Blackout Strike. I can't kick with my puny Dwarf legs!
