Unfortunately Blizzard of the past decade have been reactive to the games market rather than being proactive in trying to branch away from their signature games. HOTS was released when LoL and DOTA were far too well established. A survival game that wasn't due out for a at least 3 years wasn't going to set the world alight and in 3 years who knows what the most popular genre will be. Imho Blizzard are going the way of Bungie and relying too heavily on their prime asset which is WoW and OW, although I do wonder how well OW is doing numbers wise these days, I would hazard a guess the numbers are fairly low.
What a pity.
“shifting some of the people working on it to one of several promising new projects Blizzard has in the early stages of development.”This means firing those people.
thank god!
I forgot all about this. Now we'll have one less game from Blizz to look forward to spending tons of money like their current Diablo titles. Damn it! Damn it all!
- While there's a lot of survival games, NONE of them are from an AAA game company, which is hilarious.- - It's embarrassing that noname micro studios can deliver better products than major companies. This should be a warning sign to everyone.
Bfa was good. It still had the breast milk guy on board, unlike DF / SL
Thanks god.
