No matter what your going to end up with hoping for a lucky roll. Wether it be for a piece that is attuned in a useful way or getting a trinket that is titanforged. The idea of rewarding players that put in more time in harder content should stay front and center.
i just wish they get rid of warforged and titanforged gear....
Thank goodness no more RNG legendaries
shame. i kinda loved the ability of geeing them. should be less of them but not 100% less.
I'm glad that the Legendary System is being discontinued, and I'm also glad that Titanforging is being tweaked. This is literally exactly what I wanted. No more dealing with the burden of Legendaries of the Legion expansion, and an improved Titanforging System to lessen the negative consequences that comes with it.Awesome!
Let it warforge to a maximum of +10 itemlevel and it would be fine. At least there will be no more legendaries as if they were on sale.
I think they could've mixed the concept of the obliterum upgrades and the titanforge system. For example (considering current item levels): - All epic gear drops have a maximum item level of 955, and a base item level depending on the content difficulty (as it is today) - This gear can drop titanforged anywhere between their base ilvl and the next difficulty base ilvl (example: heroic raid loot would drop 915/920/925/930) - Epic gear drops can be obliterated into an item that upgrades one piece of epic gear by 5 item levels, up until the next difficulty base ilvl (mythic gear would go up until the maximum ilvl)This way, luck would help you a bit, giving you a headstart on a titanforged piece of loot, but in the end all versions of that item have the potential to become 955 eventually. This would mean that even if you don't get any loot you need from a raid night, you can still use it to upgrade your items that you already own. It also helps maintaining the atractiveness of the harder difficulties, since you can only upgrade your gear to the maximum item level either by having it drop on the harder difficulty, or by obliterating other discarded mythic pieces of loot to upgrade your already earned heroic piece.I think the problem with eliminating titanforge in half of the gear, and then reducing the chances on the rest of the slots, is that people will run content only just until they have the item they want and then never look back. This will further escalate the problem we have today of small guilds not being able to maintain a roster. Today the problem is people getting titanforged too soon before the higher difficulties, in Battle For Azeroth the problem will be people getting the pieces they want right away and never step into that raid tier again. Replayability is the issue here.
I wonder if tier set pieces will be affected by the new titanforging system, if they want azerite pieces to be unaffected by titan forging then I wonder if they will do the same for all raid gear.
Ugh titan forging XD should just go back to MoP levels of only +5 or +10 max.
I never particularly liked the Legion legendary system so I'm not sad to see it gone. I understand why people complain about the RNG in titanforging, it doesn't bother me personally as I haven't done serious raiding since Hellfire Citadel, but if I were I'd dislike the system too I think.
Reducing the amount of RNG for the sake of gameplay? I approve of this.
mei is bei
Thank god. RNG hated me.
On legendaries, I can't say I'm surprised. I still think there's a way to make (random) legendaries work. My personal favorite was to add an alternate system that doesn't involve randomness or at least not as much. Perhaps player feedback would've been better if choosing the legendary was possible. On the other hand, I'm looking forward to seeing what this customization is.On Titanforging, lowering the odds helps with slowing down the gearing rate but I don't think it'll do much to fundamentally relieve frustration related to the system itself. Fixed pieces help a bit too, but there still needs to be some alternative method of progression as long as Titanforging itself exists because of how gear itself works short of adding arbitrary caps to certain gear, etc.
I would have been fine iwht only Utility Legendaries, but im fine with none at all too.
Yes! Say - no farm legendaries!
This is progress. Happy to see this step forward
Loving the potential of these set pieces of gear. Really looking forward to seeing how they work in further detail. Can't express the relief to see the removal of the legendary system. I was lucky to get 2 BiS ones early on but seeing the frustration of Guild Members who are still waiting on their BiS legendary - Thank you for not continuing with it!
So glad legendary items are going away that was a total RNG fest and I still don't have all my legendary items on other specs yet. Then the process of upgrading every raid opening was annoying to.
I am not sad to see this legendary system go.. BYE! I am however skeptical of their choice to continue with warforge / titanforge.
