Four years already, I feel old
The feels! Such a good memory!
Probably my favourite WoW expansion, I logged more hours into WoW during Legion than any other expansion
Progressing through the Suramar storyline was incredible, I haven't felt that quality of unique world-building since Morrowind. Legion was a masterpiece. I'm hoping Shadowlands can compare to it.
Loved the order halls and artifact weapons so much...A different story for each class, so much replayability.
Another hit in the deep wounds that's bleeding since the end of legion :(Can we just go 4 years back ? instead of that... shadowlands...
Jesus, where is the time going?
God, are you trying to give me an existential crisis? :(Damn, time really flies...
It was a great expansion, the story the foundation on which everything else was built. The Burning Legion narrative fuelled several expansions, with the very interesting and fruitful "destruction is better than corruption" idea promising to unleash something horrendous if Sargeras was stopped.Pity the "something horrendous" turned out to be such a damp squib. Maybe we're not done with the Old Gods... who knows. It's hard to see why Blizzard would just jettison so much storytelling potential and start again from scratch with the Sylvanas / Shadowlands / Jailer stuff. Nobody really cares about transient villains.
My biggest regret skipping WoD : The aotc moose mount you get from HFCMy biggest regret playing Legion : Not playing it often enough. The content that Legion had is way too much for a 2 years cycle, attributed to how annoying it is to get an alt rolling compared to BFA.In BFA right now, i have ALL classes AND spec (plus a second durid) properly geared up and have killed heroic Nzoth atleast once on all of the classes and spec (minus Holy priest) and yes it's including Survival hunter :DIn Legion, i only managed to gear up 6 class at the end of 7.3.5.... It's absolutely insane the amount of work you have to do JUST to get your artifact weapon working, EVEN with the amount of AK at the near-end expansions. The questilines, the Legendary, holy hell, it's a time sink. It's kinda sad looking back, how i barely scrap Legion's contents, and i wish i can turn back time and play that expansion 24/7...Really sad, it's to me the peak of class gameplay. I know it highly subjective, but Artifact Weapon + Legendary + Tier set, boy.... i barely touch them in Legion.Man... i miss legion :(
At first I thought "who cares when legion was released?", then I still thought "who cares about the last expansion content?" and now I want legion back.
I will remember Legion as the expansion I managed to make 3+ million gold just by crafting and selling epic leatherworking stuff non-stop. Hell, i didn't actually pay my monthly sub with real money until the start of BfA. BfA wasn't a great expac for craft-selling for me, but i'll try to adjust my shot during SL.Also, Legion was great. I loved the artifacts and the legendaries despite their random nature of aquisition.EDIT: I'd also like to say that at the start of the expansion, I didn't think Legion would be great, what with how WoD had been handled. Glad i've been wrong about that lol
Damm four years already. Come such along way since legion causally raiding different bosses in normal/heroic to now raiding mythic nzoth with the guildies. damm those was good times
So much nostalgia, out of the recent expansions (post Cataclysm ones) Legion was definitely the best, maybe a bit underrated even. Thinking that we are probably not going to see things like artifact weapons and class order halls again makes me kinda sad, sure they had their flaws, but they were definitely awesome and very fun concepts.
I enjoyed Legion so much. It felt like wow 2.0 after WoD. The themes, the game-play, the Artifacts(Better than anything that has come since imo), Suramar, Mage Tower, Return to Kara, Tier 6 remake. Maybe it was only as good as I remember because it was compared to WoD which felt like it had little reason to log in and play. Here we are going into Shadowlands but if given the option... I would rather do Legion again.
Legion had a lot of ups and downs, but I will ALWAYS hate questing in Highmountain and Suramar. Both zones sucked because there was more running than doing. That, and the stupid withered scenario still hasn't given me my monk's fist appearance. It's overdue, you lanky jerks!
Time flies by it's unbelievable. I have many fond memories of Legion though, one of my favourite expansions by far.
Such an amazing expansion. Finished all order halls, mounts and 36/36 mage towers. AotC EN, ToV, NH, ToS and CE on ANT. Absolutely blows BFA out of the water.
