Halondrus is bugged on all difficulties, as the Planetcracker beams and Mythic Bombs are invisible in Phase 3. As you head into the raid after the Weekly Reset, this is still bugged -- be warned!
Halondrus Phase 3 Bug
Starting on Friday and continuing past the weekly reset, players have reported on
reddit
and the
official forums
that Halondrus has some graphics issues in the last phase. This seemed to work fine up to last Thursday, but had issues over the weekend, making it much more difficult for groups to defeat this boss.
You can see a video of it this bug below from YouTube channel
Springbro
:
The Mythic mechanic,
Volatile Charges
, cannot be seen when it's dropped on the floor and all the
Planetcracker Beam
are invisible in Phase 3 of the encounter making it much harder to complete and probably near impossible on Mythic difficulty. However, it is possible to get glimpses of these abilities if you move your camera around and find certain camera angles that allow you to see them.
It's clearly not intended, and hopefully this will be fixed soon (if it isn't already fixed)!

Still doesn't make the game 'unplayable' though, does it?
Actually 'unplayable', would be something more like... if targetting the boss and you autoshot randomly without starting, that you also disconnected every time... thus making it a major problem that prevented you from playing.
This is a mere inconvenience atm... sure it's a bug that needs addressing, but saying it's "unplayable" is just being overly dramatic.
My overall point... people just have to show a modicum of patience while we wait for a proper fix to this bug. Waiting a few extra seconds before starting your opener etc is inconvenient, but perfectly viable... and very much still playable.
It seems to me you really haven't raided much with your hunter. Especially the ranged hunters have been abysmally low in boss damage lists since day 1 of SL. The DPS loss from such a bug adds to such frustration. Try and get a place in a pug hc raid with a hunter having 275 iLvl and AotC - it has been hard before (as there are so many of us) but now it's just a pain... at least it was since my macro really works like a charm.
Also, I understand people complaining (to be clear: I am not complaining, I have found a workaround that I will keep even the bug is fixed) - the bug hasn't been fixed or addressed after almost 3 weeks into the patch.
