Dumb Q. Does it work with hoods?
The technology isn't quite there yet, maybe in 15.0 /s
that would be awesome if they can implement that in game
God yes please, been wanting this forever...its so stupid the hats just turn all the hair off.
Would we be willing to give up a raid tier so this small indie company could put in all that work for this cosmetic change?Well, this doesn't really bring in direct tangible financial benefits for them, so no, they wouldn't and they won't. Shame though, 'cause using anything that doesn't just cover the whole head anyway in this game will continue to suck.
I typically avoid hats cause I like my hair, might have to try this trick. Also a hat expansion sounds fun.
In many case the clipping is really bad and makes the character look far, far worse. It's only a shame Blizzard isn't willing to dedicate time and resources to make proper hair physics with items, works in Cyberpunk 2077 and that game was rushed. ;p
While I won't deny that it would be a massive amount of work, it would be worth it as well. They could use that time to update textures while they are at it. I think it would be a worthwhile venture to build a team for that alone. Just get some art students and hire them on to give them work experience. Everyone wins that way, happy gamers, a seriously needed update for models happens, and some people get jobs/experience.
I've thought about this before, and I think they should make it possible to have hat AND hair, and let it to the players to decide whether or not hair fits with a certain hat-transmog, basically a toggle function. Some hats will work perfectly, and some will clip, as demonstrated above, but just enabling the option should be zero work imo.
Or just allow the clipping to occur and let the players decide what they want to wear.
that would change so many wrong transmogs god damn. DO IT BLIZZURD!
I always transmog my helms if it caused my hair to disappear. I want to see my hair. I really wish Blizzard would stop removing hair.
If they would just do hair + hats like FFXIV does. Make it a toggle. Put it next to the head slot in the Transmog UI. "Hide Hair".Ignore the clipping. It's unreasonable and impossible to fix all the clipping in the game. Players who hate the clipping can avoid it by toggling Hide Hair.I don't understand why they'd hold off on this feature.
So given the fact that a simple macro does this means this is clearly possible without much effort. There is literally no reason not to add this to the next DF beta build and make it a pre patch feature.
Not "what if"just "Do it!"Hair eating hats is still dumb! And don't start with "but clipping"..Worgen, Tauren, Trolls any other race then Human and Orc can wirte movie scripts about that issue!
Ah the dream!
What is this sorcery?
Should just be a barber shop option or something to let players decide if they want hair on or off with hats.
why cant they be like sims 4 where they have a circular cutout "hair chop" when you wear a hat? so many other things clip in wow that the clipping shouldnt be the reason why we cant have our own hair when wearing helms
They could just add a toggle button. Show hair, hide hair. Then the player can just hide when it's a helm that clips. Or keep it and laugh at the clipping. No issue.
