Loot box: You put down money and get random stuff. This module: You see random stuff and decide if that's something you want to buy or not."But I want everything I want when I want it!"Did you not watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? It never ends well for these types of people.
WOW... This is horrible... Monetization should be cosmetic only...It is a gasha, it is a loot box, where you have to buy the pieces you want inside the box/gasha...I am now afraid of what will come from immortal...@Billredskin and @ayeee I feel you two, what a disappointment this game already is...Seems like I'm sticking to other companies...
Wow, you can make mobile games without predatory cash shops? Who would've thunk!
All I care about is whether there will be Medivh and/or Khadgar leader pieces.
Have to wonder why the shop doesn't just have a list of every available mini which a player could directly buy immediately. Why is there this nebulous 'track' instead?
A little disappointed but not surprised. The game doesn't offer random loot boxes (thank god) but does offer multiple avenues to pay for progression so F2P players will surely be behind the rest.I'll probably still try it because I've been playing blizzard games since The Lost Vikings on sega, but I just don't think mobile games are for me. I felt the same way about Lost Ark, it's cool that PVP is normalized in Lost Ark so the whales don't directly affect your experience, but I'd rather just play one of the countless games where everyone is on equal footing, regardless of how often you swipe your credit card. Was hoping they'd go down a cosmetic-only cash shop route, but I'm not surprised they decided to allow some level of gameplay-affecting MTXs. I can't say I blame them either, the demand for mobile games is insane (and only growing more and more) and people seem to not mind paying to progress if they like the game enough. It would arguably be a bad business decision to go cosmetic-only when it's obvious the demand is there for more MTX.
I wonder whether you will be able to pay with Blizzard Balance, i.e. pay via gold made through the AH in WoW. I've been doing this for years with Hearthstone, and they've announced they'll be doing this with the new Diablo title. Would be very nice.
