Adding that video was cruel.
I teared up when they did that song, orginally, I was shocked when the show announced his death. RIP Mako. I wish Blizz gave Uncle Mako a companion, like Cho's, but with Yu'la's skin and named Jasmine. For added effect.Ysera's passing has to be the second most heart wrenching animated vid, especially for those of us with years of Warcraft playing.
Just don't tell him tea is just hot leaf juice
Everytime I see this man I have to hold back tears
I love this.
No truer words have been spoken. It is true that this episode was the saddest in all animation history ... I have seen, I have watched many Animated films and TV shows but this one alone has always brought me to tears, especially as I get older. As a kid you watched this and cried because Uncle Iroh was crying but as an adult you understand what he is feeling, what he is going through and if you don't have kids of your own or have felt loss like Uncle Iroh did, it really isn't hard to sympathize with the feelings you get from this. It really isn't hard to imagine a scenario of similar circumstances happening to yourself and it just brings you to tears. Also the music is just heart wrenching to listen to.
The song wasnt in tribute to MakoIt was however the last thing he recorded before his death. He recorded the song, left the studio, and never returned. The voice actor who took over after him is constantly asked to sing it. He always says no, because "thats Makos song"
Why you gotta hurt me like this?
Love you uncle Iroh, leaves from the vine was so sad man. Love that dang show.
Wow… didn’t know the voice actor passed… very saddening… love Airbender. RIP
This is my favorite reference as of now. Does he also demonstrate his Dragon's Breath? He is afterall the Dragon of the West.My Fire mage is called Azula. She might try and kill him though. (If that is even possible.)
I'm not crying, you're crying.
I made a pandaren monk in MoP named Mako after him so I'm really glad blizz made his NPC a pandaren as well. I loved watching Avatar when I was a kid and I'm excited to share it with my niece one day.
"It's time for you to look inward and begin asking yourself the big questions: who are you, and what do you want?"
cool.
right in the feels...
