Blizzard made the right choice for the majority of the playerbase. If you are upset about these dates, you are in the minority.
First tier lasts like 5 hours...EVERY EXPANSION...stop the drama. Also, stop running scared of cyberpunk. That game is gonna be wack.
Just make the Christmas reset two weeks long instead of one most problems should be solved by doing this. 15/16th to the 19/30th of december.
You guys really think these top guilds will care if its Christmas or not? They will have breaks, they will have people ready to raid, when #1 is concerned. I think you all have seen how desperate people become for such a bragging right. How do you guys handle holidays before this? A lot of you act like Chicken Little and the sky is falling, guess what the sky is not falling. If the holiday means that much to you - enjoy the holiday or what you can with current restrictions, the game will still be here.
um.. so what? Wont it mean there will be more people marginally ready to raid if the raids are delayed?Without access to metrics I don't know how many subs actually raid that soon upon release. If leveling is just a hurdle to raiding.. why even have leveling?
I thought legion content was released too quickly, by the time I got comfortable and enjoyed a bit of things, the next thing was out, it was saturated in a wayI think these dates are far too quick and content patches/updates need to be spaced and paced out with more time in between..I could have enjoyed double the amount of time between content in legion but the next thing was released before I was done/readygo slowslowww dowwwn
For the people claiming that this is only annoying for the 1% or Elite buttholes, I'd like to set up a metaphor...I'm a heroic->mythic 2 days a week raider and I love to raid because I get to make friends and spend time with likeminded people. I'm far from a top player. To draw a parallel to the time of christmas, I would compare a raid release to getting a nice present as a child. It's something you've been waiting for and hoping it's going to be as great as you imagine. Now placing this raid over the holiday season means that we won't be able to open that present, because we're not hardcore and we have to look at it for at least a couple of weeks. I imagine it would be the exact same for normal raiders if normal released on the 15th - It's not the absolute worst thing that could ever happen, but given that raiding is such a community driven thing, it just diminishes the value of the present to have it lying around while a few others get to play with it.I just think the "us vs. them" mentality that seem to exist is nonsense, I even saw someone comment that ruining the game for a certain type of player makes the game better, which is such a mean sentiment...My solution would be to delay the release of mythic into January - that would even create a more even playing field, since split runs and such would matter less. I think that would make most people happier; normal raiders would get the raid at the same time, heroic raiders would get the opportunity to catch up a little, the mythic scene would become more even as a result of a few more heroic weeks and the world first raiders would get to have some semblance of holiday vacation...

I resent how much of this game is tuned around the abilities and behavior of a few hundred of the best players in the world. It's sort of like forcing NBA standards on everyone who wants to pick up a basketball now and then.
