The first version we saw kinda looked like it has still a bit of rng with the slot restriction, this one seems much better. Really looking forward for a official bluepost about professions.
Is there any reason not to include the Inscription things? I mean, swim speed on your boots, ooooh exciting, 20 extra ilvl is basically essential. Is this how they make Inscription relevant? No new glyphs or anything?
I'm liking the idea of the boost items being spread around then other professions, especially Jewelcrafting and Inscription getting a boost.
To early to start celebrating but its moving in the right direction at least.
I'm very excited to hear what this system will actually be like. It might be the first time since Pandaria that I am excited about professions!
I hope this system will apply to all items, not crafted items. These optional regents will probably be crafted more than crafted gear, especially with dungeon/raid drops. It would be really easy to implement too, just give each item 3 sockets and restrict them to the specific professions (didn't engineering used to make gears).
Still not as bad as Beta for Azeroth
Imo, they should losen the limits a bit more, for example by letting crafters use two slots to specify stats in order to have fully deterministic crafting if you so choose. For now, we still have only 1/4 chance to get it right with every craft.
hey knockback bullies :Pcheckmate
Absolutely love those changes. Just hope that the gear is actually relevant :x
I hope the amount of Words of Power you can slot into an item has some restriction or they'll easily render all the other modifications useless. My favorite modification has to be the Loosened Belt Strap since I really ended up missing the extended well fed duration that bacon offered in Legion.
so.... specify one secondary? not both? am i seeing that right? i guess you dont look a mule in the mouth, that has been gifted to you, as we kinda say in germany...
So they transformed tinkering to real profession :)
Look like my jewelcrafter may start making more money off people targeting specific stats.
