Sweet, bypassing 10 loadout restriction had me sold!
This one is nice, but there's also "Talent Tree Tweaks | Dragonflight", which also has these features + a lot of others like: seeing the difference between your builds, respec without changing tabs, Display spellID on tooltip, account-wide (unlimited loadouts) etc.
I feel like the ability to organize things into categories like Raid and M+ really makes this addon stand out from similar ones. But is it going to be a PITA to switch to this if you were using another addon to saved a bunch of extra talent setups? Just a curious question, but does anyone know if exports from Talent Loadout Ex or Talent Loadout Manager are able to be Imported into Improved Talent Loadouts? I don't know if they are all using similar (revolving around just importing talents on top of the existing tree) or different incompatible methods in order to increase the number of loadouts players can quickly swap between.
Keep in mind this does not support blizzard action bars so it will not work like the default blizz loadouts (able to change your action bar abilities automatically based on loadout). The author of the addon should add this to the description or in known issues, it is a bit misleading not to include that fact (Talent Loadout Ex has that pointed out very clearly as it does basically the exact same thing). This can really cause issues for users if they aren’t aware because the addon description of ITL suggests that you delete all your blizzard default loadouts for it to function properly - basically leaving new users screwed if they realize late action bar swaps don’t work and can’t go back. So make sure to keep that in mind and hopefully the addon author realizes that could happen to someone and adds it to the known issues list and points it out clearly.Currently all addons that allow to bypass the limit of 10 blizzard loadouts basically modify your current talents and will always keep the action bars the same as your current “main” selected blizzard loadout (same as the default swapping out one talent point and saving the loadout). If you use heavy changing action bars for your different builds (raid full single target or m+ mass aoe) there are 2 possible suggestions/solutions I can offer if you want to use the addon for categorizing and having more than 10 loadouts: Use macros with for abilities that would move action bars when you swap loadouts (if you want your aoe ability on button 4 when playing aoe build but you want your spender there on your single target build) You can have a blizzard default loadout for each specific change of action bars and keybinds. You swap to that loadout to only to apply action bar changes and then you swap to your addon loadout. That way you would only have just a few blizz loadouts without hitting the limit of 10 and also action bar changing. Just a suggestion for those who are used to the action bar swaps with defeault loadouts. If you play with Shared Action Bars enabled, then you aren’t affected much at all.
Cool idea, but I haven't needed 10 loadouts in a single spec. ST spec, AOE spec, WQ spec, PVP spec, done. Any variance is only like 1-2 points, I just move them if I need to for an M+ affix or whatever. But maybe after 10.0.7 I might be more interested.
Well this addon is about to change my world, then. I'll have to grab it! I couldn't believe it when I found out the 10 loadout limit was shared between all specs. So stupid!
I didn't read it correct at first, thinking this is a future update for 10.0.7. sadge
The fact that it's not a core functionality is pathetic...
I dont even like to use many addons at all this expansion anyways, so I can happily skip this and all the squabbles.Main reason is that many addons lags down the game to a state where it isnt enjoyable to even play properly.(Ps. Nothing wrong with my PC nor the few addons that I still use.)Why is this never addressed?
