Still don't understand why since Legion they think it's mandatory to have an artifact grind. It doesn't feel like a game, it feels like a job, something you do because it's a requirement for the rest.I don't know, everytime I think about this I think back on Wotlk, where gear was the only grind necessary, and it was enough to keep us untertained. The other forms of grind, like the argent turnament, weren't mandatory, they were only there for fun and cosmetic rewards.
The necklace is still a thing in game?
Because this game needs even more grind, right? I'm really tired of AP grind since Legion where it was first introduced. And they keep making that grind worse and worse going forward...20 additional artifact levels and only 11 AK levels means you will never get your neck capped unless you grind AP very hardcore.I think best thing everyone can do now is to wait September, 10 or even longer before touching 8.2...
I feel like the artifact progression system exists not only as an incentive to play during content droughts, but also as a substitute for a lackluster combat system. The reality is that most people aren't going to log in just to grind Azerite, especially when their classes still feel gutted and the sources of said Azerite (world quests, war fronts, war campaign) aren't very engaging. While I'm still looking forward to heroic war fronts as an alternative to raids/mythic+, I fear it might be too little, too late for most of us.
Seriously though, can we also have some rewards given to people that actually invest alot of time to 1 character and do alot of content? It was tiresome to be AP capped for weeks, if not months, with literally no compensation, still getting AP from weekly, WQs, emissaries that all went to nothing. Even if it was some petty amount of gold / resources, it would feel better than just getting more AP.One thing is preventing people from heavy grind, other giving 0 rewards for playing the game. With all the AK I got 49 neck level on an alt within 3 weeks of doing mostly just weekly(M+/PvP cap), emissaries and incursions. While it is nice for alts to catch up, it kind of devalues the meaning of a 1 main character where it took months to reach the same.
