Just because Garrosh thought what he was doing right doesn't make him good. He was racist to anything not Orc in the Horde. He was full of Pride and Arrogance. He detested the use of warlocks and dark magic in the Horde then turns around and enlists the help of Dark Shamans to torture the elements. Garrosh wasn't good he was a twisted Warmonger with daddy issues.
I may not like Sylvanas, I might even hate her, especially after what she did in Darkshore, but my loyalty to the Horde is still as solid as the day I faction-changed from the Alliance on my warrior. I can charge into battle with an orcish war cry on my lips because I know that the Horde won't always be ruled by the Banshee Queen, and that someday, it will be better. It will be ruled by someone with honor and respect (someone like Saurfang). I fight for the Horde not because of what it is now, but because of what it could be. As long as that possibility exists, then the Horde will never truly be the "bad guys". Lok'tar ogar! For the Horde!
Presenting the future warchief. Been a toss up really between him and Baine, but given that they are emphasizing a lot of focus for Saurfang in BfA, even giving him his own cinematic? Really starting to feel like they are building him up to be the next warchief.Unless he dies, of course. Story like his that's always a possibility later. But if he is alive by the end of the expansion it would be a safe bet that he puts up a challenge for the title of Warchief.
I got to be honest. I was very disappointed with Sylvannas' actions to burn down the world tree instead of her original plan. I know a lot of Alliance say "You're horde, that's what bad guys do" and yes I kind of saw it coming but Horde to me has always been about fighting for your freedoms with honor instead of simply doing it because you are part of some army being told what to do. Watching this though, gave me chills cause I feel like I know what Blizz is doing and I sincerely hope I am right. For the (honorable) Horde!*On a side note, Garrosh Hellscream is still alive and well somehow while doing quests in Stonetalon Mountain... Could have sworn I watched Thrall destroy him...
The Horde had honor.Had.They were the enemy, but one which could still be respected in some way after the battle was done, for they fought for what they believed in and what they felt were just causes, same as we Alliance did.But that honor is gone now.It died in the moment that their Warchief made a decision that ultimately lled to the blinding flash that left Theramore a crater and the hills outside it littered with gravestones, very few of which belonged to soldiers.Teldrassil is just more of the same cruelty and hate, just with a different hand holding the sword. But if even their vaunted heroes such as Varok Saurfang can grow sick of what the Horde has become......if it survives the coming war, perhaps it will regain some small measure of the honor it had lost.
Saurfang... the true heart of the Horde.
That's the shaman that did the flashy lightning thing after Sylvanas yells for the horde in the BFA cinematic I believe
I ALMOST feel bad for the horde. but it wont stop me from spilling their blood.
The end ties in, nicely, with the existing BfA trailer. That cinematic was compelling enough to have "Warbringers" status, though we can see why it's not one.Old orc, we know you're tired. Your Warchief isn't just a few sandwiches short of a picnic. She forgot the bread, altogether! With the Alliance having Windrunners, Void Elves, Dark Irons and Jaina's new resolve - sooner or later, though you'll win enough to extend the expansion - you're done.Your honour may not allow direct aid, though it would end the conflict sooner, but feel free to not arrive somewhere in time.Take the position, when she's done, or the right to choose a proper replacement. If Sylvanas wasn't as likely to harm your side as ours, this wouldn't even be considered. You're worth respect. Don't let that be in the form of a clean death.#ForTheAlliance
This was a spectacular cinematic. Now when we will see the Horde stand up for it's honor and overthrow Sylvanas? ;)
omg thats sick! blizz rly know how to animate stuff
This just reinforces the clear impression that I have had for several xpacs: the Horde gets the best storytelling, generating the most emotion and faces it's members with the hardest questions about oneself and why we fight. The alliance does not question itself, they fight because they are right (as they see it). The horde is in a constant struggle: with the world, itself and everyone. To the horde nothing is ever a given, you have to fight for who you are and what you want to be. Your life is an endless battle, even within your own mind. Who on the alliance side could be the main in a story like this? I can't think of anyone.
Just let this sink in, anyone who's been carrying on like a spoilt child since the Sylvanas Warbringer video. We don't know everything yet. Just relax, and remember it's only a game.
whoa
This came out of nowhere, and it's the longest cinematic in WoW, as I remember?I kinda thought they'd have a second cinematic since we got the expansion's at the reveal, but I didn't expect this.
