WoW 2.0 but make it Starcraft... how can anyone say that wouldn't be sick af
Milking 'em dry. Something that blizzard has never been known for.
so first of all yes I agree with the comments of the tip why play the game on mobile when I have a PC (and that's because I'm a PC gamer)but people it would be good to read it properly it is said/written there that Microsoft wants games on their Xbox console (but) Microsoft seems to be trying to go with the current trend so they want a multi-platform game/s from the new team which is a step in the right direction(and nowhere is it said that the team will make games only for mobile)because even though we are all gamers, we are divided into the basic two camps of PC and consoles (and consoles are divided into others, but we won't discuss that) and recently a rapidly growing new third camp of mobile gaming (and each member of each camp thinks that their platform is the best)so the comments above saying mobile no PC yes actually only take up space here (even if I agree with their content)so let's all hope that this new team will make something out of the Warcraft universeand let's hope it will be really good and it will help shake up WoW developers to hold their heads and maybe finally tried to PLAY their own gameand NOT always taking away what is not needed and adding things that no one wanted
Third person RPG of the Diablo franchise and first person shooter of Starcraft.
Clearly they haven't learned a thing
Does this mean we might finally get a WC4? I mean enough has happened already lorewise we can make a few good RTS campaigns from it for multiple factions.
Waiting for War 1 and War 2 on Xbox pass.)
I'm not sure who this "mobile" market is aimed at. It certainly isn't me. Personally I'm "old school" and use my mobile for 7 things: making calls, messaging, taking photos, reading eBooks & browsing the web when away from home, maps, and a reminder of which bin to put out on a Thursday night. I hate all the clutter that companies bring with an app for this and an app for that, now running to 4 pages-worth that I rarely use & have difficulty finding if/when I do "need" to use them. I can't recall the last time (if ever) I played a mobile game. I'm guessing it's to bring in a new, younger audience to games such as World of Warcraft? Something it will need as it's older customers move off or die off (quite literally in the case of my generation & the one older than me). "The only thing that is constant, is change".What I have noticed is there is an element of frustration, anger and despair across the comments. It seems the generations that followed me are finally finding their voice. Companies would do well to take note. With limited wallets (except for a few "whales"), and an increasing range of choice, you make up most of their current customer base, and influencers of that choice.
step 1: create Team to Create Smaller AA Games from Existing IPstep 2: make a game that is pretty good and beloved by the fans but doesn't generate millions in revenuestep 3: fire everyone and abandon the idea 0,001 seconds after not earning moneywe have been there multiple times, so no hope for me
Some blizzard all stars fighting game ... That the last "most" important thing we need....
People expect mobile games from King. Not from Blizzard. It's not as true anymore but the Blizzard name used to represent quality and polish. High levels of care towards their products. All polar opposite from modern mobile games. No matter what they produce their audience is going to be disappointed because the audience doesn't want Blizzard mobile games. They want Blizzard PC games. Big branding issue. Even if the mobile market has huge potential it's just never going to work using Blizzards name.
I'm all for it.My take -This creates incentive for WoW to care about its brand to increase profit through means outside of WoW itself, instead of how other games rely solely on the revenue made by the game itself and attempting to find more means to monetize within the game, such as what Destiny 2 tried to do.
Finally they can ruin Starcraft!
So, we're basically going to get some mobile microtransaction games that nobody will play. Cool.
More pointless and boring mobile games...Seriously, it's time for something new, make a VR or Web3 (Crypto) game instead.Maybe lay off even more gaming-related staff and hire new people to work on better novels/books, TV series/animated series, live-action/CGI movies, comics/manga, etc.Give us something NEW!
