This is awesome news, I like it.
If you think you'll get rid of the botters... think again. Their accounts are disposable and Blizzard doesn't throw enough resources to it to have them banned in a short time. So, who will be most punished: the MB'rs that weren't impacting your game.
You guys are missing the point, this is still the same level of win for us regular players. "Mutliboxing" is just a term for multiple wow clients, which you could always do. It doesn't effect us at all, it's the THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE that is now bannable, meaning you can't control 30 accounts from 1 keyboard anymore. Multiboxing is still gone since there's no reason to do it.
NO
Reason why I dont think its worth mb now is because yes you can have 4 toons on follow, problem is, depending on if we are even allowed to use Isboxer or not (we can turn off the broadcast keys) is that lets you run your 5 windows in a way where its MUCH easier/faster to swap screens, ISboxer has tons of features beyond just broadcasting. It has lots of macros and ways to have your toons auto-follow on break etc. Lets take arathi warfront for example. Before this change, I could take my 5 hunters, land near a rare and using all 5 hunters to kill said rare, and 5 hunter pets tanking it. Then I just hit shift+r..and all 5 toons loot it. Then F1, and Q key and all 5 toons mount up. And off I go. Now...without broadcasting, you have 1 toon doing the dps, the other 4 are just hanging out. Its not feasible to swap back and forth trying to dps on each screen. Since the way mob health scales, I'm not sure if the other 4 toons dont actually hit said rare, that its health scales, or just for the active toon that hits it, because if I attack on hunter 1, and it increases the rares health as if all 5 hit it, then you end up having 1 toon doing work of 5, and that would be very rough. And then, if you even kill the rare, you will have to now click on each window, click to loot, 5x. where as before it was shift+R for me. also even when mounting up, now its going to be hitting mount key on each screen...THEN having to figuring out how get 4 toons to follow main easily...macro most likely. Broadcasting also synchs up your toons main target, thats the key part. Everyone snaps to whatever main was targeting. Now have to set up macros and other fixes to get it working. There's probably more issues but these are the ones off top of my head. Basically it makes everything much much more frustrating/tedious where as before you simply set all your keys and spam 1-4, and all 5 toons do whatever is on 1-4 and you hit a key to loot, you hit a key to mount, and all your toons followed always, no breaks, and smooth sailing. With all these issues..it just doesn't seem as worth it to try to put up with clicking/tabbing through windows for literally everything you do. the efficiency and time saver of having broadcasting, is completely lost. the only argument is when doing mounts, world bosses, or stuff you dont need combat or toons to interact with are ok, not great, but ok. (sha mount for example).
I think the large mistake here that both Blizzard and seemingly the majority of the community are making is that the effect multiboxers have is very minor in comparison to actual botters; the two are very different, and frankly botters don't need multibox software at all. Also, countless people subbed to multiple accounts and use multibox software because it wasn't against TOS, changing that now towards the end of the lifespan for classic at the very least seems like a poor decision, as it probably at least equally impacts ACTUAL players. Multiboxing and broadcasting keystrokes is what they choose to crack down on while we have people teleporting to black lotus the second they spawn... yet Blizz gets praise! For what? Being too stupid to not do this 10 years ago and an inability to take care of the ACTUAL problem?
haha. They're saying they don't mind if you alt tab between your accounts, or have 8 computers running 8 version of the game on your desk. But lets be real... nobody's going to do that.

Well, Slat said this in another forum, and I'll just quote him since it makes sense.
I guess I'm gonna have to skip herbalism next expansion (again).
So I think in shadowlands token price will be come down. because there is no multiboxers that spend milions of gold every day to buy wow token ().It's also bad for people want to buy gold with real money. because they have to pay more money to blizzard for gold :)but it's good for normal players. they can buy sub with gold easily.good job blizzard.
