I feel like people only know a portion of the story with this item.Earning Keystone Hero in Patch 9.2 includes all 10 dungeons, currently there are 8 dungeons. This means it will be inherently MUCH easier to hit a 3k Mythic+ rating than it is now in 9.1.5'Easier' is a very loose term of course, as having all dungeons across both difficulties at a +20 is roughly a 2.4k mythic+ score, which is about top 2%-ish on average. The item ALWAYS required one of the three achievements: Keystone Hero (3K Mythic+ Score), a full Mythic raid clear of Sepulcher, or the Elite PvP achievement. It ALSO required exalted with The Enlightened. This change has removed the reputation grind, and (maybe, I can't remember) added the campaign completion requirement. Not positive if that campaign bit wasn't always in there, but still, a major grind element was removed which is a net gain. Also, for people who haven't looked at the raid loot table- Not EVERY conduit can drop in the raid for your class.Example: For rogues, only 9 of your 21 conduits drop in raid. This therefore means that you could only have 9 Maxed out/Mythic level conduits.Mythic+ Dungeons drop their highest level conduit as of keystone level 10 in Patch 9.1.5. The drop is the same level as Normal Raid, which is 252 in Patch 9.2.I can't speak for PvP conduit sources, but I assume their conduit level is based on your rating. Even still, there are only 4 conduits on the vendor (Again using rogue as an example.)] (I spent a while looking as well and had no luck and wrote a post on the B.net forums about this a week or two ago)With no Death-Bound Shard style item on the 9.2 PTR to any of our knowledge, this item was the only way to get conduits above normal item level for over half the conduits of my class. To me, this is likely a mistake because every prior patch we have had an item that allows conduit upgrades, and it seems just incorrect that this item would be the only way for people to get maximum conduits.Note: None of this is me saying that it is appropriate/fair/whatever that only like 5% of the playerbase 'deserve' maximum item level conduits (Between PvP/M+/Raid, that's really just a guess number), but just to point out that there is most likely a missing piece to this puzzle.
(assuming I only do pve/raid) If I already have all the mythic bosses defeated, why would I need to buy that item? non sense
still not account-wide...
"wHy Do yOu nEeD iT iF yOu'Ve FiNiShEd mYtHiC?"Why do you need it for your +5s and world quests? If you want the item get good at one aspect of the game and you get the reward? This is a great item and all you crying casuals should maybe play the game and try to get better so that you can achieve the item instead of crying that it's "not fair" and "too hard" to get because it's not, you're just a bad player!
Remember when we used to play the game, doing dungeons and crafting gear to progress to raid or PvP with our characters that got stronger through leveling and not a single unwanted or bloated trash system that required endless grind was crippling our enjoyment of end game content?Good times
