I just want the White Wizard Hat Theramore Arcanist's Hat. Please Blizzard!
Pity Wowhead doesn't reset drop data (or at least list the drop data separately after the change) when this sort of thing happens so players can get a more accurate reflection of new drop rates.
To anyone who wishes to farm these items, a fair word of warming:OBTAINABLE does not mean EASY TO OBTAIN.I've spent the last few weeks exclusively farming these reintroduced drops, and it's utterly miserable work. The mob-specific item droprates are all over the place, some of them took me several hours to get (especially greens).Rare drops are worse, rares are camped by other players, have 1~ hour respawns, and usually drop simple random greens. The special drops are NOT guaranteed. It takes at least several kills to get them.Killing rares in Chromie-Time is also ineffective, as most of them can be found in leveling areas with high traffic.Also... some removed rares have been added back to the game, others got their loot pools expanded. In the case of mob-specific drops which came from removed mobs - most of them got added to other mob loottables in the area.Currently, Wowhead databases regarding these drops are a mess, it will take at least a few more weeks to be sure what drops where. My advice? Don't bother with farming the rare drops now, they are a big waste of time. Wait a few weeks, then raid the AH.Alternatively, if you've got an army of alts and some time to kill, park them near the rare spawn points and check every hour.Go for the white mob-specific drops instead. They are easier to get, with some chill music in the background while you grind.Read the newest comments on old items, to be sure if you're farming the correct mobs.Good luck and happy farming!
Somehow, I already have quite a few of these items (according to my wowhead completion checker with my pinned toons) even though it's been quite a while since my farming toons were in any of these open area zones. So either many of these were actually added back in the game much earlier than this latest patch and not noticed OR many of them have also been added as random drops from dungeons, because what my farming toons have been doing is running vanilla and BC dungeons for over a year. So there may be many alternative sources for these.
Well that's great. Now who's gonna buy my overpriced BoEs that never sell? š”
For those of you with ATT installed, you can use /att nwp to see the full list of drops. I also recommend turning on "Ignore Filters for BoEs" to see all the BoEs rather than those only learnable by your current character.
Somehow betting that those of us who had Thistle Tea recipe, and had it removed, are not going to get it given back for free...
They forgot to bring back Darkshore and Ashenvale.. My 2 favorite leveling zones really got crapped on..
Hunters get 1 weapon.... Give us Rhok'delar, Longbow of the Ancient Keepers
Nice! I was waiting for this list :)
Managed to find plenty of the Starter Zone stuff already. Lovin' the return of the old Zone Drops and Rare Drops. The only thing missing from this is that I hope that the Bashing Pauldrons gets a Cosmetic form for it. Very few "Simple" Shoulders are available to all classes.
Give me back my Dartol's Rod of TransformationLost it when i was hacked years ago I submitted a ticket gm refused to give it back because of the worst expansion in historyCataclysm change the who zone quests.Want it back xD
The Talon of Vultros and the Feathered Cape Vultros drops have been in the game for a long time now, at least since Dragonflight. Also I doubt the Blackened Defias leather set is returning since you can still get the set appearance in game.
Please be mindful of the items added to the list. Some of them were either removed even before Cataclysm (Scarshield Quartermaster drops) , re-added prior to 10.1.7 (such as Pitted Defias Shortsword), never had been previously available (Owlbeast Leggings), or never removed in the first place (Blackvenom Blade).(Before someone says I'm splitting hairs: It does matter for accuracy if you're updating the WarCraft Wiki pages, especially for the 10.1.7 undocumented changes list.)
