With your region's Daily reset, you'll always see 2 of the 8 required PvP WQs active for the next 24 hours. Right now, it is possible to speed up the progress with alts but keep in mind that you'll probably face Level 80 enemies/players.
Here's a macro to check your progress on this achievement and Ruby-Eyed Stagshell battle pet (tried to keep it flexible in case they reduce the number of repeats):

As usual you have to opt into Warmode to see/complete them, but it won't require actual PvP, so here are some comments/recommendations for those who want to avoid fighting players:

Elemental Excavation: Use your quest item to extract a buff ability from an elemental of your choice, then kill 5 Elites for 20% each, or the Non-Elites for 8/12%.
Along for the Ride: 10 creatures required, maybe mount one for some fun, respawn could be a problem.
Digging into Trouble: 10 Moles required, mount one for their Mole Charge. (Scaling)
Foggy Faceoff: Ignore everything Non-Elite, they add almost nothing to your progress. Elite Fog Beasts leave 5-minute buffs on the ground, grab them (Devouring Residue, Voracious Residue, Famished Residue). (Scaling)
Fending off Darkness: 10 standard Kobyss required, Arathi captives give less.
Bells of the Light: 10 creatures required.
Polarized: 20 worms required, check the 2 pylons, maybe you like their debuffs (Positively Charged/Negatively Charged). Very close to the Mmarl Niffen camp, so keep an eye out for other players ambushing. (Scaling)
Serving the Queen: Focus on the big guys (Sureki Hulk), use your quest ability to pull them from large distances.

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed that we have only had two quests on rotation so far, on EU at least. These two:

Elemental Excavation

Along for the Ride

We have actually had more show up now. It was only during the Early Access and first reset day.

I finished this today and no pet reward. I did get the mount from the other pvp achievement. What's weird is the reward says purple stagshell in achievement panel but in the pet panel, it says ruby eyed stagshell comes from the achievement. regardless i got no pet..

Maybe save people some time, template for the bug report:

Achievement Reward Bug: A Champion's Tour: The War Within (ID 40088)
This lists the battle pet Purple Stagshell (item 223802 ) as the reward, but this is not being granted. Related is that in the Collections tab for pets, the pet taught and linked to this achievement is Ruby-Eyed Stagshell (NPC 223859) .

Only step to lead to the problem is completing the achievement.

Summary: Two part bug - (1) Achievement reward not granted; (2) Naming mismatch between item and battle pet.

You can speed-run this achievement by doing PVP World Quests on different characters.
The way I did it is to wait for each PVP WQ, bring 5 characters level 70-80 and do the WQ on each, and you get a +1 for the achievement on each one, cutting the time you need to do this achievement by a large margin.

The only negative side to it is that, the mobs for some of these WQ are fixed at level 80, meaning that if you're not level 80 yet, you'll either have a really hard time doing it, or have to call on a friend who's already level 80 to mass clear mobs for you on each of your alt, that's of course without needing to mention that plenty of other max level players would instantly one shot on the spot.

EDIT: While "Worm Theory" has been fixed. This doesn't seems to be have been fixed yet.

Got the achievement on 09.23, but did not get the pet reward.

Also the pet name in achievement (Purple Stagshell) and in pet journal are different (Ruby-Eyed Stagshell)

I assume everyone that's got this achievement already are on the US realms? I surely can't have missed "Fending off the darkness" 3 times before I started on these?

Don't worry about the fact that certain quests haven't come up very often for this achievement or, more importantly, the meta achievement for the mount...

The Sparks achievement turns into a X/20 and IS required for the meta so we have another 15 weeks to wait for any quests we might be missing to show up in the rotation :(
